Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The very last thing Alistair had anticipated when he opened his door was to find his blonde neighbor standing upon his doormat with a declaration of boredom upon her sweetheart lips. His brow rose as he eyed her blankly, noting the way her cheeks were flushed with heat and her blonde locks cascaded down her back in long tangles that were wholly...distracting. It was only the offer of coffee that drew Alistair from his internal thoughts. The very idea of the heated beverage and accompanying caffeine sounded particularly welcoming, particularly after the exhausting training his maker had put him through only an hour prior. It was only after a rather brief consideration that the Dark Hunter accepted the invitation to join her, only for Alistair to welcome into the strikingly orderly flat behind him. Shoes, after all, were necessary if he desired to venture beyond the comfort of his apartment and it seemed...strikingly rude to leave the beautiful blonde waiting out in the hallway. She moved past him, clearly taking in the flat as she paused just over the threshold. Gently, Alistair closed the door behind her with a soft thud before he slipped past her to lead the way further into the open floor plan.

How aware he was of the way her gaze seemed to scan the room in inquisitiveness. Admittedly, strikingly few people had the opportunity to see the interior of his apartment. Alistair was often...ill-inclined to invite guests over. He hardly lingered, however, the artist was certainly not the type of man to show off his home. Rather, he offered her the promise that he would hardly be long, which she promptly waved off, before Alistair disappeared down the hallway towards his bedroom. With his room so mirroring the state of his flat, it took no more than a few seconds at best to hunt down his shoes. He settled briefly upon the edge of his bed to lace up the sneakers, only for his gaze to deviate towards the window in brief consideration. Alistair moved towards his closet, pulling from it's depths a jacket before he paused briefly in his adjoined bathroom, if only for a subtle application of cologne. Frankly, he wasn't even sure why he was bothering and yet, the artist chose not to put too much thought towards it as he made his way back into the living room where he had left Carolina, fitting his arms into his jacket all the while.

He was hardly surprised, as he stepped back into the living room, to find Carolina no longer where he had left her. Her feminine figure was settled in front of the canvases positioned before the large windows. She pivoted with a feline grace upon the balls of her feet at his very presence, those bright hazel irises settling upon him with an intensity he hadn't quite anticipated. His inquiry of where they were going seemed to prompt a momentary silence from the girl as her teeth nibbled on the plushness of her bottom lip. Her mention of a bookstore and a new cafe a few blocks from their complex caused his brows to furrow in brief contemplation. "Yeah, sure." He responded, entirely intrigued of the new place that had escaped his notice. After all, the artist had a...rather fierce aversion to cooking of any kind, the majority of his meals were eaten out and, as a result, he had become intimately familiar with any cafe within at least ten miles of the complex. God, he could only hope, this one would be good. His sister would be delighted to find a place with quality pumpkin bread within a walking distance.

Alistair stepped towards the door, only to glance back at the young woman who, in turn, had cast another eye towards those incomplete pieces before her. "Uh...a bit of both really. That one's for some charity event I got looped into at work, the other's just for pleasure. Em - er, my sister will probably sell it on Etsy if it turns out." He shrugged as he eyed the canvas almost critically, even from this distance. He was, perhaps, overly hard upon himself, effortlessly picking out those brush strokes that seemed out of place in the composition. His head shook, the Dark Hunter willing to push those thoughts from his mind as he fell into step behind Carolina as she led the way towards the door. "I take it your big into reading then, if you've been visiting this bookstore lately?" He inquired in some vague effort at a companionable conversation for the walk over.
