Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I will

rise up

in spite of the ache

The walk back to the apartment was a silent one. He held Sterling against his chest, one arm wrapped around his waist with the other supporting his knees. The bird was seated quietly in Sterling's lap. Henry didn't know he had the strength to carry his ex from the apartment to a witches' shop and back again, but somehow, he found the strength. The distance wasn't a long one, but the silence that existed between the pair made it seem far longer than it really was.

Thankfully Henry made it up the front steps, through the door, and into the elevator. By the time he actually made it into the apartment, his arms were aching. And yet, there was no outward sign that he was the least bit uncomfortable. Once inside the apartment, Henry closed the door with his foot. He carried Sterling to the back bedroom before he gently set him on the bed. He helped remove any clothing he did not absolutely need before he gently picked up the osprey and place her back on her perch. She didn't look much better than Sterling did, but hopefully they would slowly recover over the course of the night.

Moving back, he pulled the covers over Sterling, successfully tucking the man in as a mother would do to her sick child. "I would take it easy and rest for a couple of days." He definitely shouldn't go to work or really do much of anything. Henry had already decided he would stay here for a couple of days to make sure the man took it easy. He would cook for him (what he could) and just be there in case he needed anything. Hopefully he would bounce back in a day or two.

I will rise a thousand times again
