Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It is the look that Frost afforded Kato that had pushed Edie to rise to her feet, positioning herself between the two males in an attempt to offer Kato the protection that she could offer. She knew that Frost was decidedly more powerful than herself, likely more so than Kato as well, but there was some confidence in the Were girl that thought she could protect him. She'd never been under that stare of Frost's â€" quite frankly never wanted to be â€" but she didn't want to see anything happen to Kato, her Kato, by Frost's hand. She hardly hesitated to press him to a sitting position, surprised when he allowed her to push him down to the couch. He was so much bigger than her, she wasn't foolish enough to think that she could move him on her own. She was glad that he listened, glad that he didn't push her away the instant she leaned down to brush her lips to his. After all she'd been through today, she hated to admit that rejection from him would likely be the thing that broke her.

She is lucky, perhaps, when she turns to Frost that he seemed to have lost that cruel simper that plagued him, instead that gaze that was devoid of emotion. Good, that was at least better than anger, she supposed. She stood between them, blocking her man from the view of her Alpha as he spoke. "Do not threaten him." Her voice was cool as she spoke to the white-haired man. Though she was sure mouthing him would result in punishment, she was sure that she didn't care at the moment. Kato. The man deserved her protection after what he'd done for her. "He saved my life tonight, and another night, as well. He's done nothing but be kind to me, and you will not threaten him, Frost. If you want my loyalty, you will not threaten my..." The sentence stopped on her lips, her cheeks turning bright red as she realized the word she'd been about to say. She was glad, now, that she had her back to Kato, and equally glad she had the tale of the Ark to distract them all from what she had almost said. No, Kato was not her boyfriend, and no, Edie had not meant to say that.

That Frost offered no outward emotions to her as she spoke made her squirm. She found her seat on the couch beside Kato as she finished her tale, reaching to put her hand on his knee. Still, she didn't offer him a glance. More because she was embarrassed by the sentence that had nearly escaped her lips. That in addition to nearly drowning was enough to make the girl antsy now, the nervousness of Frost's silence causing the girl to squirm.

But then, the words are not aloud, only in her mind. They're words that are clearly only for her given by the soft tone, and Edie awards her Alpha with her full gaze. There is no trace of the usual impishness the girl normally afforded him with, her gaze entirely somber as she listened to his words. She had expected his anger, expected to be shamed, expected to be punished. That he seemed to speak with compassion for her took her by surprise, and though she would later be embarrassed for it, the tears welled up in her eyes at the empathy that he displayed for her. She rose to her feet, moving over to his chair before she sat deliberately on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck, embracing the frigid man in a tight hug.

"Thank you," She whispered, her voice afforded only to her Alpha. It is the only thing she says, however, before she rises again to take the spot she'd just vacated, her hand falling on Kato's knee once more as the question is asked of the man. Instinctively, her fingers gripped at Kato's knee, the gesture pleading for him to please, please stay with her. She still wanted him, wanted to feel the comfort his arms afforded her. She is relieved, perhaps, when he agrees to stay, the nickname for her Alpha causing a laugh to escape from the Beta's lips.

She grinned, turning to look at Kato, positively delighted that her comment hadn't driven him away, but instead had caused him to say he wouldn't be going anywhere. The newfound confidence had Edie nodding at his comment, her gaze flashing over to Frost in a teasing simper. "Perhaps we should take a shower. Since we have to keep our... adventures contained to my bedroom, or the shower." She gave Frost a chuckle before she looked up. "Yes, I think I'd like to take a shower, but I think first I need..." She looked over at her Alpha. "I think there's something on your side that you should show us, no? So that I can take care of it?"
