Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Beta girl was well aware of the boundaries she had overstepped in her demand for Frost to leave the boy alone, though she was also well aware that he wouldn't dare correct her in front of Kato. No, that conversation was for later, when they were alone. But if the scolding she would receive later would keep Kato safe for now, then it was worth it. That she cared so deeply about his safety caused a pang in her chest that was all too familiar, and she was glad for the discussion with Frost to take that away from her. No, no she wouldn't care about him. It wouldn't end well for any of them. No, any feelings that the girl had needed to be squashed, and she would do so, she promised herself that much. She is lucky, then, for the gentle way he spoke to her, the tears that followed a rather uncontrollable urge, one that had her lifting herself to her feet to slide into his lap and offer him that gentle hug. The gratitude that she expressed was genuine, as was the embrace she offered him. While she had terror in showing any affection for Kato, the Beta girl had absolutely no trouble showing it for Frost. Frost was her Alpha, and her swear of loyalty only to him was certainly not a problem. Edie adored Frost. She was certainly more than merely loyal.

The grunt of pain that escaped Frost's lips as he pulled back caused Edie to look up, though she didn't make any other indication that she had heard it. Edie's eyes were on him the entire time she moved back to settle in Kato's arms once more. That Frost adjusted himself to favor one side of his body did not go unnoticed by the girl. She does, however, allow herself the momentary chuckle in Kato's joke before she'd offered up that last tease, the idea of a shower being so utterly appealing to the girl. But that demand to see Frost's injured side was out of duty as his Beta, the woman determined to prove Nadya wrong. She was a good Beta, or at least, she was learning to be one. Her fingers reached in as she closed the distance between them once more, helping him move the cloth of his shirt off the wound. She winced herself at the sight of it, knowing full well how it stung like hell. She was still weak from her own wounds. As such, she needed that physical contact to heal him. Normally, the sheer proximity would be enough, but this time, it was her fingertips on his skin that brought her power. Her fingers lingered on his side for a moment longer, examining to make sure she had, in fact, done her job properly.

"That should feel better," She commented as she took her hands away, though that whispered voice in her mind caused her to pause, eyes drifting to meet her Alpha's. His warning strikes a cord within her, the girl turning her gaze downward, the onslaught of memories that tugged at her heart ones she had tried so hard to forget. She knew, she knew exactly what meant. Against her better judgment, her mind wandered to him, to Beck, to the boy she'd loved back home. The boy she'd worked so hard to forget. He'd loved her so completely, and she had felt the same emotion back to him. And yet... and yet that had been a source of weakness for them both, one that had nearly cost Beck his life when he'd protected her from the Hunters instead of protecting himself. It had been worth it, he'd told her as she'd been forced to heal the silver-induced injuries that had almost stopped his heart, it had been worth it because he loved her. He'd almost died, and Edie had fled, knowing she'd never allow herself to do that to someone again.

And yet. Here she was. Falling for the stupid rhino.

Dammit.

Her hand reaches forward to press against Frost's chest, drawing his attention back to her. She wasn't sure if his power worked like that, but she'd rather the words not be spoken aloud. Frost. His name was her first test, and when his brow raised, indicating that she'd been heard, she continued. I know what love can do to a person. Perhaps better than you know. Her thoughts were tinged with sadness, and whether he had seen her thoughts of the bleeding boy she'd held in her arms, she didn't care to ask.

I ask you do the same with your own heart. Nadya is beautiful, but your feelings for her can make you weak. I know you're stronger than that.

At that, the fox turned, going back over the male. She stood in front of her companion, urging him to stand as she attempted to erase the sad smile that had planted itself on her features. Frost comment, however, seemed to work just for that. She grinned as she took Kato's hand, tugging him â€" or rather, aiding him, she certainly wasn't strong enough to pull him â€" to his feet. "If you say so, Jack," She teased to his retreating form, though her focus was entirely on Kato by now.

A quirk of her lip is the only indication the woman gives that she'd heard his last comment, hardly interested in his tease. Her non-boyfriend, he'd said. No, that didn't sound right either, though the woman couldn't think of a word that did suit the male in front of her. Oh god, perhaps it was time for that conversation. But that could wait until later, the woman more preoccupied with the shower at hand. Lovingly, she reached out to stroke Kato's cheek, giving him a gentle smile.

"Let's get you cleaned up," She said gently, her thumb moving to brush against his lower lip before she pressed herself up to kiss him. "The downstairs bathroom offers us a bit more privacy. I'm afraid you're going to have to do all the work. These cracked ribs don't allow for much movement." She grinned up at him. "Though I'm sure you'll find some way to make do."
