Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

fading into oblivion

kissing death and loosing my breath

The young witch could hardly deny the small gleeful simper that pulled at the corners of her pressed lips, the astounded lit to his voice matched with that unconcealed look of terror on his face surely brought that barely contained smile into several warm hearted giggles from the girl. She knew it was cruel - to tease him so on his tightly held stereotypes of her own kind and yet, it did amuse her greatly. In a silly way though prefacing her intentions with such outlandish notions certainly made the truth of her magic seem far less....manageable, at least so she hoped. Regardless, she allowed those utterances of annoyance, certainly feeling as if he was warranted such though it hardly stopped to dissuade her of any like minded antics in the future. In that aspect, the girl was perhaps still very childlike - acting in such a manner simply because she got a reaction from it. Nevertheless, the young girl did her best to reassure him in whatever fashion she could, detailing exactly what every single ingredient was and it's benefits. See, she wasn't entirely awful. In some ways, she was aware that he wasn't entirely listening, but it hardly truly mattered to her, instead simply continuing her job as healer until she had completed.

Her head tilted ever so slightly to the side at her companion's rather unexpected compliment, "Hm?" She inquired, as if she hadn't quite understood the words he spoke before her palms turned upwards to glance down at her own hands. "Oh, um, thank you." After all, it wasn't often that Serafina truly showed her hands to the world, instead usually going out of her way to hide her palms and wrists if only for the simple fact that at any given time they were healing from one incision or another. Her blood, she'd found ages ago, tended to provide that extra potency to her potions that others often failed to give and she hated those looks of pity when some moronic bystander took the wrong notion - like Serafina would actually cut herself for some such silly thing as emotions. Please. Still, the young witch busied herself with recapping her mason jar, stepping back abruptly at Azrael's own sudden decision to too leave. In a way, she was hardly surprised though, her stormy gaze merely lingering upon his retreating figure as he rushed out the door.

Instead, she shook her head ever so slightly, placing the jar back to where it belonged upon the countertop before fetching her least nicest jacket from the offending coat rack and joining the hunter on the front steps. It was only at the beep of the vehicle from the unlock button that really made Serafina aware of the cherry red sports car that sat in front of her town house. She stopped suddenly within her trailing of the man, her eyebrows raising ever so slightly in astonishment as her stormy gaze followed every curve of the vehicle - from the tip to the taillights. Even Serafina could hardly deny its appeal though she had always had a certain want for the finer things in life. "How pretty." The witch purred, stepping up to run her fingertips along the edge of the vehicle in a nearly affectionate gesture before gingerly settling into the italian leather seating. If it wasn't for their attire for the evening, she almost could have felt as glamorous as the celebrities that lined the magazines at the grocery store checkout. Almost.

Her own gaze turned out the tinted windows simply enjoying the way the world effortlessly slid by them, the whole ride smoother than her shitty little car could ever dream to be. In fact, it wasn't even until Azrael's question that a syllable left her lips though her immediate reaction was little more than a snort. "Um.." She started, trailing off as her gaze purposefully avoided the man next to her. After all, it wasn't as if she could tell him that not only had she utterly failed to 'get rid of her' but that she'd made them both sick in the process, then had the wolf try to attack her while being taken over by the ghosts Serafina saw everywhere and tried to ignore only for the young woman to discover that - surprise - she didn't need a voodoo doll anymore to control others. Yup. That would go over with Azrael just swell. Her hand rose, her fingertips following the stitching on the door to her side. There were so many things about her life she purposefully omitted her companion and somehow, she doubted that changing anytime soon. Still, she couldn't just ignore him, "No, I um.....I guess I'm stuck with her." Serafina responded, adding a simper upon her face as she shrugged in an entirely nonchalant fashion. That seemed far safer of an answer.

Thankfully, she hardly had to fret long on whatever follow up questions Azrael had before the car slowly slid to a stop in front of the forest, the man announcing that this was the place he had decided to take her. Her gaze glanced around the surrounding primavera, a small look of confusion upon her features. After all, they had met within the forest, why such a trek required such clothing was certainly a mystery to her, still, "At least it's not a swamp." She spoke, not entirely realizing she had said such a statement out loud. After all, with her teasing with Raven she, calling tonight her Swamp Adventure had become almost second nature. "Now what?" She inquired, her gaze shifting to the hunter next to her.
