Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The faerie queen was relieved by the way Vhalla seemed to relax in her presence, the girl eventually offering up her hand to Samantha's in order to shake the queen's offered hand. Samantha genuinely meant no harm for the woman, the girl entirely meaning that she would offer up as much protection as she possibly could. She wasn't sure that it would make a difference, really. She didn't have much to offer, but no faerie within the city â€" or at least not the ones she controlled â€" would harm the girl. The girl merely watched as Vhal went back to her seat, looking â€" and feeling â€" rather dejected from the whole ordeal. Samantha herself moved back to stand around the counter, watching the girl sip at the tea that she had been presented with, even though she clearly did not enjoy the liquid. "Again, I can make you something else if you don't like it. It's no problem." The blonde woman found herself frowning at the clear horror that washed over her, the woman wishing she could stop it. And she could, she supposed, but no, she refused to use her power in that way. Not after what had happened with Aiden. Of course, speaking that aloud caused the girl across from her to inquire about it, and the faerie girl merely quirked a lip up.

"Let's just say that finding out you can control emotions is an easy way to get your boyfriend naked," She commented, twirling a piece of her blonde hair around her finger. "Though, when it's the first time you've slept together, not a good thing. Not to say sex with him wasn't amazing, because oh my god, it is. But... it's always better when he's in control of his own emotions, you know." She gave the woman a shrug, quite willing to offer up the girl talk rather than offer anything else regarding her outburst. The regret that the girl in front of her suddenly felt ripped away any lingering feelings of Aiden, the fae girl wanting to work on making sure the other woman felt better.

"It's nothing to worry about, honest." She gave her a smile, Samantha's natural friendliness not wavering even in the slightest. After all, she had been able to forgive Raven for the outburst, and it wasn't as though every moment she'd spent with Dorian or Nadya had been perfectly pleasant. No, it took quite a bit for the girl to falter in her pleasant demeanor, and the stranger was hardly faulted for her lack of trust. "We all have secrets in our head. There are people with that power though, so I would watch it." The woman gave her a shrug, shaking her head as the woman continued, promising that she would never hurt her. "I know, I can feel it." She tapped her chest for emphasis before she smiled kindly. "I trust you. It's a silly feeling, perhaps. You're a stranger, but I do trust you." She leaned back against the counter, looking over at the girl. "Now, I don't know if you have a safe place to stay right now, but I insist you stay here and get some rest. We'll get you a shower and some food. My boyfriend pays for the good cable package, too, so you can watch tv with me. Dorian's quite afraid of the television, I'm afraid, even though I insist he'd probably like Game of Thrones."

The last is distinctly a tease, the fae attempting to urge the woman into relaxing in her presence without using her power. "Now, without needing any real information, is that your blood or the blood of someone else? I just need to know how much I need to patch you up tonight. You'll find I'm quite handy with a first aid kit."
