Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian Ellingtonget close enough to have fun
but not enough to get attached

For so very long the vampire's presence was but fleeting in any given city, the man stayed long enough to stake out his own chosen hunting grounds, to become a familiar face and then, he vanished into the night to move instead to another metropolis. It was the same manner in which Sebastian had existed for nearly a century and a half now. He knew all too well that he should have been contemplating the country he would next occupy and yet, he found himself entirely desiring to linger. There was certainly no secret to him on why, no, Sebastian knew all too well that it was a singular soul that saw him want to pause here - even if it just gave him a few extra days or months of Dorian's gaze cast upon him, of Dorian's touch upon his skin. The man was like an infection and Sebastian was entirely captivated. His last evening with the fairy King had ended bittersweetly, Sebastian entirely displeased when it inevitably came to an end with but a promise for another time. It was exactly two days later that the vampire closed upon an all too exquisite estate within the Northern parts of the city.

Sebastian knew all too well that it was his move within this game they so carefully played. It was he who would dictate the beginning of this "next time" and in truth, if it were not for the proper etiquette that so bound to the fairy, Sebastian would have perhaps called upon him the very next day. As it was, however, a period of waiting was required of him, even though each day that dragged on seemed particularly tragic without the man's presence within his those few hours he called 'life'. Thankfully, his new found property was an appropriate distraction, the home quickly filling with furniture followed by various nicknacks from his England home and, perhaps more importantly, the two newest members of his house staff. There was a singular family that had served Sebastian since his childhood through what was now four generations. He had seen the pair of cousins grow up the few times he'd return home since their birth and now that they were of age they were perhaps enthusiastic to travel abroad, even if it was with the intent to serve their family's employer. They had been trained well, regardless of their age, of that Sebastian couldn't deny and all too readily did the duo assist in putting together the home into something vastly more livable than the empty shell he had purchased.

In truth, Sebastian hardly missed the hotel room he had inhabited the past few months, despite the luxury that had adorned every facet of it. There was something vastly more comforting of being surrounded in the elegance that had once been afforded to him within his era. It felt like home - and that alone was a sensation that had been remarkably lacking within his life. Still, it wasn't until the house had come together that the vampire felt it appropriate to reach out to his companion. Finding the appropriate paper for his announcement, however, was hardly the adventure it was for his companion. Instead, Sebastian had thought ahead enough to request Charlie (whom was only just named) to bring the very paper and envelope with him overseas. The ivory envelope itself was decidedly unremarkable beyond the ever so neatly penned address and Dorian's own name in a inked calligraphic handwriting that, in truth, Sebastian had not used in decades though the art returned perhaps as quickly as if no time at all had passed. The card inside, however, was so neatly adorned with those fleur and swirls his century was known for, creating a rather neat little border around his newest address and the implied invitation that Dorian should come visit when the fairy King saw it fit. Despite Sebastian's uncertainty that Dorian might receive the letter, Charlie had seen to it that it was stamped and mailed off until all that was left was to wait.

And oh how much he abhorred the unknown that came with such patience! It was decidedly selfish of the vampire but he so yearned for his companion, to have him to himself for those few hours he was allocated in whatever business or whomever it was that took up the majority of Dorian's life. Sebastian had never inquired as to what the King did with his days and certainly had no intention of. The unknown was certainly far better than any truths he would be given, of that he was sure. For several days after Sebastian had made a point to stay close to home, to haunt the taverns in the Northern parts of town so that he might return to his property quicker if only for the possibility that his lover might have received his invitation. Tonight would surely be no different then the evenings before it, or so the vampire thought. The sun had only just set but half an hour prior, the vampire himself had only just risen, still sitting on the edge of his bed with crumpled sheets surrounding him and a yawn on his lips. He was distinctly aware of the sound of running water as the large bathtub was being filled, Emma happily humming to herself as she thrust open the plush curtains over the windows to let in the soft glow on the night. Gingerly his fingers toyed with the coin that still hung around his neck, his thoughts altogether drifting until the moment she announced far too chipperly, "Bath's ready!"
