Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I looked across and fell in love

Sebastian Ellingtonget close enough to have fun
but not enough to get attached

Sebastian remembered still the first time a rudimentary aquarium had come to London - he had been but a newly awakened vampire at the time, still struggling with controlling that hunger that so assaulted his senses every evening. He had only just discovered the full extents of his affinities and in the process so managed to woo an elderly socialite with not an heir to her fathomless fortune. It was she that had taken him to the Fish House after hours in London's Zoo. He had remembered how utterly astounding it was, those small goldfishes and snails that occupied those rows of mere thirteen gallon containers. Such tanks had certainly made leaps and bounds since their birthplace in his home country. And yet, Sebastian was assured that if the the creation of confinement of sealife had occurred within his eras of life, that surely Dorian had been robbed from ever seeing the like of anything as magnificent as this before. It was that knowledge of how utterly....breathtaking something as simple as this, and too that overwhelming curiosity and constant thirst for knowledge that had driven the vampire to make the effort to bring his lover to this very location. Hi fingertips gingerly brushed against Dorian's waistline, the vampire entirely unable to deny those warm emotions that bubbled to life within him in something as simple as this - to give a present that he innately knew Dorian would find endless wonder in.

Gingerly, Sebastian stepped behind his companion, his voice but a soft whisper in Dorian's ear as he finally acquiesced to Dorian's requests to open his eyes and see this aquarium that the Englishman had so been teasing him with. He waited in measured patience as the man's gaze adjusted to the drastic change in lighting within the darkness of the aquarium. After all, Sebastian was a naturally created predator, this hardly bothered him at all. His companion, on the other hand, was certainly not. Still, Sebastian could hardly deny that sense of pleasure he received from the altogether astonished reaction from his lover's lips. Dorian stepped backwards into him and yet, despite the unexpected weight, the vampire hardly moved even an inch. Instead, his head tilted to the side, his crystalline gaze inquisitively watching his companion as the fae King observed dubiously that which spanned in front of them. The vampire's smile only seemed to widen at Dorian's admittance that this was entirely foreign to him - the fish and sharks which roamed so freely within that tank where but an amazement to behold.

He watched in silence as Dorian stepped cautiously away from him, the man's hand outstretched to the meticulously cleaned glass in an effort, he was sure, to reassure himself. He could hardly deny the soft chuckle that left his lips at the way the sting ray's presence so seemed to surprise his lover and yet, Dorian's following inquiry was equally as unsurprising for the vampire. His head shook ever so slightly as he put his hands within the pocket of his jeans, stepping closer to the glass and beside Dorian himself. "No, they created a very large enclosure and filled it with water. They bring the fish in from all over the world and put them here." His gaze shifted briefly towards his companion, watching the man but briefly before his attention turned back towards the multitude of fish before them. His own eyes fell inquisitively upon the much larger creatures in the tank, watching the sharks that swum the length and back again with more speed than most of the aquatic creatures within the tank. They were entirely fascinating to him, the man's much denied nature perhaps finding something a touch more companionably about them.

It was the sound of his name that so drew the Englishman from his contemplation of the shark that so roamed those waters. He made his way towards Dorian's side without question, his bright blue eyes landing upon the eel that had so rapidly caught his lover's attention. "It''s an eel." He commented, his gaze following the bright yellow aquatic snake. "They have teeth." It was, perhaps, the only real piece of information Sebastian had on the strange serpentine creature, though he'd never seen one up close before. He was entirely content to watch it as it darted between rocks, moving with a peculiar sort of grace for such a truly bizarre animal. His gaze, however, shifted slightly once the eel too had disappeared from their sight, continuing upon it's merry way regardless of their existence. The moment however, was altogether fleeting before Dorian's touch drew the entirety of his attention away from the astoundingly large tank in front of them. A small simper once again danced upon his features as Dorian drew him closer into his embrace. His lips so sweetly brushed against Dorian's own for a moment that was far too fleeting for Sebastian's liking.

"I --" The word was out of his mouth before he truly considered those lyrics that wanted to leave his lips. It was automatic, that response, it was so easy to simply say 'I love you', even if Sebastian had vowed to never put Dorian in such a position. Still, he was entirely aware of the fashion at which he had paused in mid-sentence, the vampire taking a notable amount of effort to ensure that his sentence made enough sense to ensure that Dorian hardly suspected the thought that had crossed his mind. "I am glad, I thought you would." He uttered softly, leaning forward to allow his forehead to gingerly brush against his companion's. "You should enjoy it." He muttered, releasing his companion from his grip regardless of how much he despised doing so. He so very much longed for his fae's companion and yet, he wanted Dorian to enjoy this. After all, he made such effort to ensure this date went entirely well - it was, after all, the first time that Sebastian had made an effort to take anyone upon any sort of adventure as this.
