South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

As time seemed to tick by, Henry watched people walk by. He saw couples holding hands, business men too busy with a phone call to even look up, and a woman walking a dog. Each of these brought back memories to Henry, some not wanted in the least bit. The couple walking hand-in-hand was a reminder of what he wanted for him and Sterling. He wanted to be that couple. He wanted to be able to publically show his love to Sterling much like this couple. And the man on the phone reminded him of his past self. Henry had once been so hooked on drugs and woman that he couldn't even tell which way was up. It was a reminder to him that experiences in life shaped a person and his most definitely had taught him about better things in life. It wasn't for his drug addiction, he may not have every met Sterling in the park. And finally, the woman walking the dog reminded him of fucking Sparkles and what that had gotten him. The memory was still fresh and it still make Henry very uneasy. So he pushed it towards the back of his thoughts. Not today. Today was about him and Sterling.

As Sterling walked towards him, his eyes flickered over towards his boyfriend. He smiled and pulled him into a hug with his free hand. He relished the kiss to his cheek and returned it. He held out his hand for Sterling to take, hoping he wouldn't mind this small display of public affection. "I know you saw the picnic basket. I figured you were hungry." He began to walk towards the park in the center of town. Central Park in NYC was where he had first met Sterling. Even though he couldn't take Sterling to Central Park, this was the closest he would come.

Once they arrived at the park, Henry laid out the blanket for them both. He set down the basket and took his seat, patting the area beside him for Sterling to join him. "I know I can't take you to Central Park where we met, but this is as close as I can get." He smiled up at Sterling before opening the basket and beginning to pull out items. He handed Sterling two beers for the two of them as well as a plate of cheese and crackers. He also pulled out some deliciously prepared BLTs and some potato chips. "It's not much...but you know how terrible my cooking is." If Henry could cook half as well as Sterling, he probably would have cooked a marvelous meal. But he had no idea how to cook anything except Ramen noodles and sandwiches. So sandwiches was it. It wasn't much, but surely it was the thought that counted, right?
