South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

never play dead with vultures, it's what they want

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

He was feeling particularly lazy tonight, the past few evenings hunting having proven decidedly successful and as such he hardly found himself starving, at least, not any more than normal. His hunting tonight was merely something to do, something to occupy his time and yet he could hardly say no to the prospect of even more blood and that glorious sensation of feeling full. Even if it never lasted. He was hardly an old vampire in any sense, securing a food source so often dominating his thoughts. He was getting....better with each passing year, no longer obsessing over food entirely, managing to ignore those he simply didn't feel like eating rather than pouncing on anything and everything that moved as he once had and yet an anxiousness of sorts still existed for him, a need to find something or someone to fee on- the man content to make to most of his short time in this city before the local coven became aware of him and drove him out as they did in every other city. Somehow, however, he was avoiding them still. Perhaps none of his victims yet were part of such an organisation and as such he continued to fly beneath their radar, perhaps this city simply didn't have a coven- how glorious that would be. He hardly feared the wrath of a single vampire, his time he could be easily extended in that case. After all, avoiding a certain individual was far easier then avoiding a pack.

One finger rolls leisurely around that strand of web that connected to the much larger net below like a fishing line of sorts. Curious to see what or who might run into it. He doubted it would be his preferred prey and yet there was always a chance. He could always hope. He is aware, dimly, of the sound of running feet and frantically beating hearts and yet they failed to move him. Arlo hardly inclined to run tonight, his features frowning only as those running feet seemed to draw closer to him, arousing his interest before that line woven about his finger jerked violently. His lip quirks readily upward, Arlo easing himself to his feet to peer from the rooftop and down below- a very human woman flailing about in his trap. His features dropping slightly in disappointment. She would do, he supposed, yet it was hardly what he wanted. It is the sound of another however, that sees his form halt atop that guttering, head turned suddenly at the sight of a....child, the striking blue of his gaze resting upon the girl. The daughter of the woman? Human children were hardly desirable to him, the man unwilling to feed even from the woman in the presence of a minor, the man inhaling the girls scent before the true nature of her species became evidently clear to him. A child vampire. How strange, how rare, how.....utterly delectable.

He could feel that saliva pool readily at even the thought of her, the human no longer of any interest to him at all. That doll-like child with her flushed skin and beating heart- so indicating a truly recent feed on her part held the entirety of his attention like a moth to a flame. Yet surely she had a parent, a guardian, someone watching over her whom was likely to appear at any moment. Arlo remaining within the shadows of that rooftop, assured that dark hood was in place, obscuring his features entirely save for those ever-blue eyes. The tender voice of the child seems to encompass that alleyway, the girl seeming wary of his web, unwilling to touch it, declaring it not her own before stepping back as if in contemplation of just what she intended to do. A child was easy prey, surely and yet.....her age remained unknown, older then him- the girl holding a clear ability to hunt. A child didn't last this long if it was weak. Yet how he wanted her. Arlo nothing if not an opportunist and yet his instinctive self-preservation was perhaps just as potent as his hunger tonight. He moves at last to swing down from the roof, landing just behind the girl-child, lips pulled into a grin of sorts as he forces himself to step past her and towards that struggling human woman. Fingers extending to pluck at a few strands of that strong, sticky web.

"That's right, Little Doll, it is not yours, it is mine. It is not a spider web though- it is a vampire web. They are much better then spider webs."

He turns, grinning towards her once more, his own fangs so clearly exposed with the gesture. Arlo struggling far more then it appeared to maintain a friendly....almost playful demeanour, so attempting to forge some level of trust between himself and the girl. Surely she would mistake any...hunger he showed for hunger for the human. His own kind never suspected him, not until it was far too late.

"It's a special talent of mine. Would you like to see how it works? Don't touch it though."

One hand simply lifts, fingers snapping, that web releasing a sudden surge of electricity that danced like blue sparks along it- barely a shout emitted from the human woman before she was rendered unconscious. He turns back to her then, detangling her utterly limp form from that web before crafting an entirely new strand, binding her ankles together before tossing that loose end over the nearest lamp post above, hoisting that woman upward once more, this time entirely upside down- the webbing tied off neatly now. Arlo so attempting to intrigue the child.

"Now we must wait, it will only take a few minutes- but all the blood in his body will drain downward to her neck and head- it makes feeding very, very easy. The blood flows very freely. Did you want to share, Little Doll? I caught her, but you chased her in."
