South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

If only Henry was just being stubborn about his animal half. Unfortunately, Henry still thought he was human â€" he didn't understand that others could sense who he was. Even if he knew they could, he would probably assume they were just making shit up. He wasn't an animal. Last time he checked, he was still just a human...as human as they came.

As they talked about butchering, the energy and passion she had when she spoke of the skin made Henry chuckle in jest. He wasn't necessarily laughing at her...but more at the situation. He'd never come across anyone who loved to eat the skin of animals as much as she did. "I can't say I've ever eaten anything with the skin on â€" I like my food skinless...not even on a chicken breast." Even when eating things like fried or baked chicken, he would peel off the skin and set it aside. Call him boring, but he had never grown fond of the skin.

She asked for him to show her how to make the sandwiches and she nodded softly. "That's easy enough. My boyfriend is a chef...he can teach you how to make all kinds of things. I'm terrible with cooking. A sandwich and spaghetti is about all I can make." Sterling was a professional chef and he was excellent at figuring out how to mix different ingredients to make the best flavors. Henry on the other hand tended to burn things or over/under cook them. Pasta and sandwiches were hard to screw up, so Henry had mastered those pretty early on.

He handed her the bottle of beer as he watched curiously as she tried to sip it. More fell down her neck than actually went into her mouth and Henry had to suppress a giggle. He sighed, though, as he watched the bottle shatter on the floor of their living room. He just hoped she wouldn't hurt herself on the pieces. "Beer is an acquired taste â€" you get used to it." He stood and went to the closet just off the hallway and grabbed a broom and dustpan. He easily swept up the pieces of glass and dumped them in the kitchen trash. Setting the broom and dustpan aside, he grabbed a kitchen rag and began to soak up the liquid on the floor before tossing the rag in the sink.

Henry had introduced himself and was happy when she responded with her own name. Malia. It was an interesting name, one he'd not heard before. When she asked for a creek so she could wash, Henry nodded. "Follow me, I'll show you the bathroom." He led her down the hall and into the bathroom. He pulled out a clean towel and turned on the water so that she could take a warm shower. "Take off those clothes and I'll get you a fresh pair. There's soap and shampoo in the shower so you can clean yourself up and a fresh towel right here on the counter." He wasn't sure if she even knew how to shower. In fact, he wasn't sure how she was an adult and had never showered. However, instead of being rude and asking, he tried to keep his thoughts to himself. He left the bathroom and grabbed a pair of pajama pants and a t-shirt. These should fit her. He knocked on the bathroom door before slowly entering and placing the clothes on the counter â€" trying very hard to keep his eyes down. He knew that he would have trouble resisting a naked woman. He was trying hard not to stray from Sterling.
