South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

Malia's teasing manner does indeed coax a soft smile to the woman's lips, "No, I feel like my brain is going to ooze out my ears," she responds laughing quietly, entirely unaware that her response might be over Malia's head. Though, their conversation immediately shifts to someone named Frost and Nadya and a confused expression so dances across Miya's face. Yet, she seemed to be doing well, at least the girl was properly dressed this time, so the small Asian woman merely gives a nod of her head, "Good," was all she said. Though, she's still wary of this Henry man, he didn't seem like the decent type, at least not from the stories she had heard as she begins to piece them together carefully.

Dragging the girl forward away from the men, they quickly catch up, surrounding the two girls, Miya's hand shoving into her messenger bag as she grasps the can of pepper spray. It hadn't worked on the vampire attack she had, but she was more prepared this time. She had gotten the extra strong pepper spray this time. Though, Malia's words ring in her ear as she uses the term 'human boys', she would have to ask about it later, yet, Malia was indeed a strange girl, perhaps it was the way she merely talked. Now, was not the time for the woman to be thinking of these things. She's very nearly ready to pull that canister from her bag to spray the men that surround them until a gurgled snarl is released from Malia, so entirely inhuman that has Miya's chocolate gaze immediately seeking out Malia.

What she finds has the small Asian woman stumbling backwards, her eyes wide in fear as she releases that canister out of instinct, her hand coming up to tighten fearfully on her strap. It takes a moment before she can choke out that question, realization seeming to bloom on her friend's face as her hand raises to slap over her mouth. The nonchalance that is so emitted from Malia has Miya blinking the fear slowly beginning to dissipate. If Malia had wanted to hurt her, she would have done it long ago. Plus, didn't Arlo mention that there were people who could shift into other forms? Of course, she had entirely brushed off the idea that there might be people who could change into animals. It was absurd! Impossible, and yet, her roommate was a vampire, why couldn't there be other supernatural beings out there?

Releasing a breath, she hadn't realized she had been holding, "I see," she says quietly, her eyes darting to the ground, attempting to take in everything that had just happened. She was so very close to losing it, perhaps the woman was crazy or she was dreaming. Since she had lived in Sacrosanct there had been so many new things she had learned about. Malia's voice draws her out of her pondering, her chocolate eyes flicking upwards, that amusement so adorning the girl's features. She releases a small laugh, tinged with a bit of hysteria, "I guess you did," Miya responds, almost uncomfortable now that she had learned that her friend was indeed, well, an animal. "Will you show me sometime? Your full shift?" she suddenly asks, blinking at herself in surprise that she would ask something like that, yet, she couldn't help but feel curious, just like she had when Arlo had shown her the truth.
