South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Some fear fire, but I've become it.

That lava that seemed to be in the woman's veins...helped with that frosty bite of the cold but even she was not completely free from its unsavoury touch. Tetradore rose and swiftly closed that distance to freely offer a sweet single kiss, that sweet embrace in public was never one they would have shared in Sacrosanct. He was like a different man the further away from that city they called home. Why? She wondered frequently to herself even though she respected it all the same. She had only deduced that it was his duty as alpha, the heavy crown the king of the west wore. Mira refused to consider it longer than absolutely necessary. Then again, even then, her boyfriend was still somehow an enigma even though they lived together for months now. It was an aspect of him that she had accepted. Yet even still, this thoughtful complicated man was hers.

After that stolen kiss, her golden eyes lingered upon the vibrant green hue of his irises, relishing in that embrace for a moment longer. That comment fell simply from her tongue, that simple acknowledgement that he was full of surprises. He seemed perplexed by it, as if entirely unaware of his own actions. Of course, he had kissed her countless times before. She had all but welcomed the sweet familiar taste, even craved it. But in public? That was unlike him. How in that moment she seemed to baffle him as much as he baffled her. Her lips turned upwards in a warm easy smile with a hint of tease. She pressed her luck just as the kiss to his own lips once more, stealing a brief kiss of her own this time. "Yes. It's not a bad thing." She didn't bother to elaborate that very thing as Kinnley emerged with an armful of clothing, as if planning her entrance at that exact moment. She had seen enough, judging that obvious grin. It was hardly anything most... would even bat an eyelash. They weren't clawing at each other like sexually charged teenagers. That was not this man, any act of intimacy no matter how simple was savoured. There would be a day she would ask him. That day was not today.

Aiden stepped away from that embrace, as their stylist jubilantly began the task of removing those tags. Deceptively far more than even Mira would have found right off the bat if she had done so herself. Mira was content to change into that now completed outfit, as the pair wrapped up their impressive shopping haul. She seemed satisfied with her appearance in the mirror and the way those clothes fit to show off her feminine physique. Those accumulated bags, however, caused her eyes to widen. How they would have been able to shove all of that into a lambo would have been next to impossible, unless Tetradore made a trip or two of that convenient teleportation.... Yet what a waste of energy. Not when they could so easily enlist in that service to have those bags delivered to their hotel was nothing short of a mercy! How ready the couple were to bid that shopping experience goodbye, even though it was fun while it lasted. Even though the small fortune they spent, certainly made her eyes widen with concern. She couldn't help but wonder if they actually needed so many things... Mira seemed to wonder what that very thing Kinnley had chosen with Tetradore in mind... curious of her taste and yet she deserved little doubt.

Was that many outfits utterly necessary? Tetradore unflappable even when that price racked higher. Even though those clothes were very much needed. It was another mercy that Mira missed that final total, or the cost of that supple leather jacket she currently wore. The woman waited until they left that store before offering her thanks. That single comment about... if they needed all they had purchased was the only indication to her unease. Everything had been destroyed and yet she would have been equally happy in pair of 50 dollar jeans as she would have a designer pair! Tetradore commented that she couldn't very well live in the same pair of jeans forever. He had a point. It was difficult to find fault in that and he didn't seem to mind.

The mall was bustling with activity, people milled about that very mall as Mira suggested that he choose her outfit more often. Oh the look of near abject horror was worth it. It was almost as if she anticipated it! She couldn't help that laughter that escaped her as she caught that glimpse of his emotive scrunched up features. "Your reaction is all I needed.. Don't you worry, I don't need my boyfriend to pick out my clothes." Mira added breezily as she reached for his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze and offered that thanks. But the sheer amount they had obtained made her head spin even though she could not deny the logic within his words and the minimal selection of jeans she had.

"You have to admit they are a really good pair of jeans though.." She added in jest. "Although I am not going to lie.. It's going to feel good to wear something else... to see you in something other than the same hoodie... even though it looks good on you. It's still one of my favourites... It's the same one you wore on our first date.." She added, remembering that night with perfect clarity even though she was certain he didn't remember what he wore that night. Unlike Mira who was inclined to remember those subtle details with striking clarity. It was arguable it was even date, Mira still thought it counted, explosives included. In more ways than one.

After a little bit of casual meandering within the busy mall, which seemed like stalling to he.. she had enough of this particular view. After all, why have a beautiful sleek exotic car just sitting in the cold parking lot in an exotic new locale if you're not going to use it. The thought seemed to appeal to the young woman. After all it would seem the couple shared that same need for speed. Then that added bonus of Tetradore completely unburdened look when he reached those what were to be considered reckless speeds. She wasn't sure he was even aware of that face and yet she enjoyed those stolen glimpses of it all the same. Mira knew that suggestion was irresistible to him. In that, she knew he would never deny her. He didn't even hide that look of relief, even though he seemed willing to not rush her if she desired to stay. He agreed faster than he had to anything that day so far as he led her through the mall to where they parked. As soon as those glass doors parted, they were blasted with slap cold. Fuck.. He was right. The leather jacket only kept out some of the chill. Even though her affinity that flowed within her veins seemed to spark quickly to embrace her as if to take up the challenge... it still did little to shield her unprotected skin. It was nothing but a relief to see that car waiting for them untouched, perfect, and just how they left it.

The car heated well, chasing away any hint of the cold that may have clung to them. Mira sighed from contentment as she watched the city unfold and fly by her window. How easy it was to point out those pretty sights and enjoy that speedy drive through the unique, unfamiliar streets so different than their own... That vehicle went well over the speed limit, but she was nothing short of used to Aiden's driving by now. What she hadn't anticipated was the land of dealerships that they fast approached. Had he known there was a Bugatti dealership here? That sign was near impossible to miss.

They slowed, that overpowering engine still a resonating purr with the gas eased up, a sound she could have pinpointed a mile away. It was a white car within a display case that prompted Tetradore's intense emerald stare. She was quite certain the man didn't blink for a whole 30 seconds, driving at far slower speeds than she ever thought the man capable of. 'What is that?' A question from the alpha's lips that caused Mira to shift in her seat, in an attempt to catch a better look as they drove. "Whatever it is.. It looks like an Aventador and Bugatti had a very impressive baby.." It was the best of description she could have offered him, unable to hide that intrigue from her tone. It was no wonder why it ensnared his attention! That sleek car was a merge of his favoured brands.

Tetradore then asked her if she minded if he took a look. Like they really had a choice. They could not simply drive by a Bugatti dealership they happened on by chance. To do so, would have been a sin, even she knew it. If anything, it was very close to a stroke of destiny that had them cross paths with that dealership. Unless that alpha already knew. She wouldn't put it past him to impressively know the location every Bugatti dealership. Surely that wasn't the case. He had to know that she needed little convincing. Mira's gaze shifted back to Tetradore, catching a glimpse of the emotion that flitted across his impassive, strong features. "Like that is even a question. We have to check it out." She urged as Tetradore already signaled to turn into that parking lot amongst the cluster of car dealerships and quickly pulled into that a vacant park spot with ease. The rumbling sound of that exotic engine undoubtedly garnering the attention of every salesman in the building. How could they not recognize it.

"I don't know but.. I am thinking.. Today is going to get really.. Expensive..." Her tone was teasing and yet who was she fooling.. It already was.

Mira's lingering laugh hung in the cold air as she exited the car. Those cars were certainly not created with ease entering or exiting. Even harder with a skirt. The woman attempted not to flash the world as she did, swinging both legs out at the same time. She could already see all the raised and alert heads of every last salesman within view inside that building. She met with Aiden as she wrapped closely around the sleek Lamborghini, leaning into the man to whisper, ignoring the cold that whipped at her exposed legs. "Uh oh.. We have been spotted."
