South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Having another person living in his house had made tonight slightly more difficult, normally he would have given into the change and made his own way to the outskirts without any hassle, or chosen to do some scouting in the back yards of houses, failing that he would have happily lazed around his own home. But he currently didn't have the full measure of her, and knowing that you shared a house with a Were wasn't often welcomed by some and he didn't want to unsettle her so soon.

Instead Ian had opted for a hurried excuse that he was going for a run. It wasn't necessarily a lie, but he just made a point of forgetting to mention a few minor details. Like most Weres he was relatively fit and kept a good pace until he was certain that no one could see him, unlike those who were Weres of a larger size, his change offered freedom but also a significant risk for his wellbeing. Though he was a predator, he fell into the category of prey far too often.

Shrinking to his animal form, Ian took his time, carefully assessing the area, large rounded ears twisting constantly, capturing every noise he could. Unlike most other "big cat" Weres, Ian wasn't an impressive hulking beast, he didn't have the bite force to crunch through bones of combatants, nor did he have the muscle to take down prey the same size as him. His serval form was slender and fragile, long legged and long necked and almost completely out of place in this city of powerful hunters. Still he couldn't fight the pull of the full moon, despite the dangers it brought for him.

He ventured further to the outskirts, stepping neatly over the grass, pausing every few metres to stop and listen, stretching his neck out, ears constantly swiveling, and his entire body tensed and ready for flight at a moment's notice. Though the wolves' song had set him on edge, it had grown to be a comfort, for as long as they were singing they weren't hunting him, instead it was the banshee wail that sounded like something dying an agonizing death.

Self-preservation dictated that he should turn and scarper in the opposite direction of that noise. But his own morbid curiosity urged him to slink closer, each step still well measured to ensure a soundless approach, crouching to try and remain unseen he edged closer to the gathering of other beasts. With his heart thudding against his fragile ribcage, his nerves taut with anxiety. It didn't take him long to assess the group, there were three here that could easily kill him with a swipe of a paw, the only thing that kept him from fleeing was the sight of a small fox, though she displayed the same nervous tension as he did, she hadn't fled, nor had she been mauled within an inch of her life.

Still keeping himself low to the ground he edged closer, every muscle as taut as a violin string, prepared to snap into action and send him bounding away if this was some elaborate ruse.
