South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

kissing death and loosing my breath
The young witch was particularly low upon those herbs she so relied upon to carefully craft the potions that made up a large portion of her own profit. It was true that her store held its fair share of drinks and doodads but they were but a small slice in the pie of her business. Her potions had, in some fashion, become legendary for their potency and effectiveness, much less the young witch's rather blatant ability to overlook the moral implications of some of the liquids that had been specially ordered from her. She could have purchased the herbs she needed freshly from the local grocery store, and had it been winter she might have done so. However, with spring around the corner the girl was entirely assured that the forests might provide her with the wild plants she so required. Those leafy greens were entirely untainted by the modern world - they were free of any chemicals and pesticides, free of any growth hormones or genetic manipulations. They were pure and pure substances made far purer potions and purer potions made vastly better money. They included less side effects and more predictable results. And so, despite the inconvenience it might have caused her, Serafina decided that on a warm spring afternoon as this, she would spend possibility the entirety of her day within the woods that bordered the Southern parts of town.

Serafina had donned her jeans and a pullover, her attire was prepared entirely for the spring rains the forecast claimed would come later that afternoon. Serafina knew entirely how long it would take to obtain what she needed and was hardly daunted even by the sprinkles foretold. Instead, with hiking boots adored, Serafina carefully picked her way through the forest over fallen timbers and large boulders, her stormy gaze settled entirely upon the ground for any flash of color that hinted the flowers she needed to acquire. It was the rustling of leaves behind her and to her right that caused the witch to abruptly halt in her searching, her gaze immediately turned upwards to scan her surroundings. Even though Serafina frequented these very woods, she had certainly not come here entirely without incident before. Weres frequented these woods, even more so by Dark Hunters. Tamzin herself had found Serafina here but months prior and yet...she still came back if only for the benefits it held to her business. Serafina's head tilted to the side ever so slightly as she remained absolutely still, waiting and watching for any source of movement.

A few more moments of silence passed before the sound of that rustling in the leaves started again, dragging her stormy gaze to the bush. She crouched down ever so slightly, reaching in her bag to grab a blade in one hand. Her affinities had grown since the last time she had been found within these woods. This time she was more prepared - this time she was assured that she would not find herself at the receiving end of a bolt, blade, or barrel. Cautiously, she held her blade behind her, waiting and watching for whatever it was that haunted her movements to step out of the shifting shrubbery. It was large, whatever it was and softly Serafina inhaled, preparing herself for the worst.
