East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

You feel my heart racing |Side gala|

The Gala was turning out to be more crowded than Nadya anticipated. While that was a good thing for the man of the hour, it was a decidedly difficult thing for the panther. The closeness of the bodies made her skin feel like it was crawling with the heat that pressed in on her. It was a relief to have the alcohol, albeit it champagne, and feel the ease that it brought her nerves. The last thing that Nadya wanted or needed was to be shifting uncontrollably and ruin the dress she wore and loved so much...oh yeah and perhaps hurting people. Her dark eyes scanned the crowd that she stood near the outskirts of with Samantha and Dorian. "That's him..." She motioned to the well-dressed pale man who entered the building followed by the clicking and flashing of the cameras. He gave a short speech that was required of him before gliding off to greet the very red-head whom was hosting the event. "When he's done talking to Isolt we should go over and talk to him...introduce yourself as the new Queen."

Nadya's attention had been thoroughly pre-occupied by explaining the plan of action to Samantha that she hadn't noticed the platinum blonde enter the building and even slide up behind her. It was his fingers gracing the skin of her elbow that drew her attention, her body twisting about to see exactly who it was that felt the need to touch her as his voice met her ears. It was a tumble of emotions upon the recognition; confusion, sorrow, and...heat. What it was that existed between the two wasn't something that could easily be put into words. Though Dorian seemed to have his own ideas about it. Had Nadya not been distracted by surprise at seeing Frost she probably would have turned on the fae with a few select words of her own. However, Nadya was given to stand there a moment staring back at Frost as Sam pressed up against her side at his question before her voice found her once more. "My brother is a busy man so I'm here." It was her only offered verbal response though her brow quirked at his voice gracing her mind. It was an odd thing to have him in her mind. She had found out about his mind reading ability back when he had slipped and remarked on something she had thought on long before but his voice in her head was new.

She was hardly given a chance to think on the comment he offered before Edie came out of nowhere to press a drink into Frost's hand and brush against him. Nadya's features briefly turned sour, eyeing the woman whom she had thought she'd seen the last of. The very one who had infiltrated the Ark and prodded the wild animal until she had snapped. The last time she had seen Edie was flying overboard. "I take it you enjoyed your swim?" Nadya countered, her gaze narrowed at the woman as she took a sip from her drink and glanced back towards Frost. "Doesn't seem to stop you from sending others." Yes she was snarky about that encounter, feeling like Frost was sending his pack after her now. She had tolerated him being her stalker but was highly displeased with others seeking her out.

"We have business to do." Nadya nudged Samantha in attempt to get her to mosey away from Frost and Edie. She needed distance from Frost, the very one who made her doubt so much about what she wanted. Also, Nadya was highly aware now given how much time she had spent around Sam that the girl was an empath and was only all too hurried to try and shuffle them away so the fae wouldn't be feeling the turmoil of emotions that existed then. It wasn't so much in thought for Sam's sanity as her own denial and attempt to not have to talk about it. The young woman was given to glance Frost over though even as she nudged Sam. "Nice suit." The comment was extended with a thin guise of insulting sarcasm. Nadya had already seen Frost in nice attire so knew the man cleaned up well, but the extent of his formalwear hadn't been seen before and the fashion side of Nadya was very fond of his prsent choice.
