East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The respect of her title was enough to make the faerie girl brighten, the happy grin on her features returning. She looked more confident, looked happier. "You know," She said with a laugh. "That's almost what happened. I met Ivy, and knew she had been turned into a faerie before I could help her. I couldn't save her, but I was hoping that I could save other people from being put through the torture that I went through." She could still see it, really. The warehouse that she'd been held in. The pain of the other women's powers being used solely to hear her scream. If she could keep that from happening to another person, it would all be worth it.

The faerie girl shook her head, letting out a sigh. "No, it wasn't a good welcome to the world. They held me for a week and tortured me. And then they slit my throat and I woke up not knowing what I was, and they were gone." She sighed a little. "When I started working here, it's when I found myself. I hated it at first. Resented it. Nadya, the owner, put me in charge in her absence instead. Now I have the respect of almost the entire staff. And I'm more powerful than I look. I've learned a lot about myself in the year and a half I've worked here, you know." She gave a wink to him before she twirled her finger around her hair once more. The blonde hair that she played with seemed to bounce under her touch, and she gave him a warm smile at the idea of how much she'd grown.

"I'm glad you like Sacrosanct, though. I think you'll find it's a wonderful city. I've always liked it here." She smiled over at him, her desire to be his friend was very present, and that alone had her relaxed in his presence. She was entirely oblivious to the way that his gaze fell on her. She took his words as genuine kindness, hardly realizing that he may have been flirting with her. Or that her smiling and hair twirling may have been flirting back to some men.

"Come on," She said suddenly, grinning as she rose to her feet. She reached out without hesitation to pull him up, and only when he was standing as well did she let go of him. "If you're new in Sacrosanct, then you need a guide. I never had one, but like I said, I'm the welcoming committee." She grinned, her sapphire eyes sparkling in the dim lighting. "Let's go for a walk. I don't like crowds much. It's why I tend to hide out in my office while the floor is open. But my work here is done tonight, so let me take you for a walk?" She took a few steps back towards the door, her eyes entirely focused on him. "Unless you'd rather watch the show of course, that's your choice. But I'm leaving. And if you want to talk to me, you have to come with."

With that, the faerie girl turned on her feet and walked out of the building. Not once did she turn to see if he was following. No, she was confident that he would be.
