East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

He had a way about him; a way in which he could say nothing and yet say everything without the utterance of a single word. He could soothe her with naught more than a touch, a kiss, a look; just the smallest gesture and all that ailed her would be rectified, all of the worries of her life dissolved in a single moment with him. Perhaps this is why she was ever destined to be the moth to his dancing, beguiling flame... to return to him no matter the circumstances, no matter the cost.

Isolt thinks upon none of these things, however, as her lover leans her back to deepen the kiss they share. A soft hum, nearly a gentle moan, escapes her involuntarily. She is distracted in this moment from the promise of whatever adventurous quest he has planned for their evening, her thoughts succombing to notably more lascivous notions. Should the truth be told, Isolt would have been just as agreeable to luring Damon to her bed to demonstrate her appreciation in a significantly more forward manner than a mere kiss. Alas, she does not speak this sensuous notion, for he had presumably planned this particular eve with the utmost care and she would not ruin it to appease her own erotic delights.

Unsurprised is the youthful vampire at her companion's unwillingness to divulge preciously what it is he has in store for them this night, a playful rolling of her azure eyes and a girlish sigh all that she seems wont to offer in response to his deliberate silence. It is not until Damon brings the vehicle to a quite unexpected halt that Isolt's brows quirk in notable curiosity, the glacial finger of anxiety running an icy path down her spine at his question. "What? Damon... wait," she sputters, but all too late as the redheaded woman finds naught more than the closing of the car door upon the question left unspoken.

Hesitation mars her every movement as Isolt extracts herself from the vehicle only to find her lover already hovering upon the bridge's railed edge. "Damon," she pleads, sapphire eyes filled to their very brims with concern as she slowly reaches out to offer her own hand to him. All too soon she finds her lithe frame huddled against that of her partner, one hand glasped within his whilst the other coils into the fabric of his shirt. "Remind me why it is we're doing this again..."
