East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

East
Even when he was just as much of a victim to the economy as others were to his cruel ruling - even though he found the madness in it all - the pyramid scheme, those working like horses while the others eat like pigs. There was still a darkness, an unquenchable thirst, an other worldly desire to take and devour everything in his path. He was the beast beneath the skin, behind the eyes and in every wheel and cog that turns in his sullied mind.

If only he could remember.

It seems primal instincts have replaced the past.

He could smell her the moment the door opened, his piercing blue eyes flicker from his receipt that states that he had paid taxes on the country home that he officially paid off last year. With his line of work Magnus knew nothing but luxury and could have handed over cash. But of course, he couldn't raise any red flags now could he? There was a reason why no one knew he even existed - except, of course a handful of men with black hearts full of vengeance and safes full of cash.

He dwarfed her by comparison, a petite Asian woman with gentle curves that were proportional to her stature. She had full lips, youthful facial features and her hair was inky black; true black. She was exotic, adorable and apparently has the potential to be a handful. He liked her already. (If it wasn't for the fact that she was a handful physically, it was mentally. Of course) He raises a brow and huffs a chuckle at her; offering a grin that could only mean he didn't mind.

Placing the receipt in the pocket of his faded jeans, the elevator begins to shake and then comes screeching to a halt in the shaft. He is forced back, leaned against the wall. The Nordic nomad attempted to react promptly enough to keep the woman from hitting the floor but speed was beyond his great and stalwart form - for now. He eyes her laying there a moment before finally speaking, his deep voice no surprise given his size. "No, I'm sorry."

He offers a bear paw of a hand to aid her up. "I shouldn't have let you hit the floor." The concern in his voice was sincere even if his smile was that of a con. If only she knew who he really was; only civil when it benefits him. And the creature within him wanted to know if she tasted as sweet as she smelled, as she looked - those brilliant eyes never betraying him and his crooked thoughts. "And yes, I believe we're stuck."

Once she was back upon her feet he reaches over and pressed the red "Emergency" button; it buzzes, clicks and fades out. "Shit." He peers back to the little China doll with a brow uncerntainty. "Not to sure how long we will be here either." While his brow relaxed, the lopsided grin was back. He'd only take the opportunity to get to know her and of course, he dives right in. "What's your name?"
