East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

kissing death and loosing my breath
The lithe framed fairy certainly hadn't anticipated for someone to come rescue the young witch that had snatched his prized possession. His eyes landed immediately upon the large shifting wolverine as she burst into the front door of the shop. His large eyes narrowed, his large, oval, translucent wings unfolded from his back - vibrating to life with a buzzing sound as he began to levitate within the store with the girl still tightly within his grasp. His attention shifted from the wolf, his eyes keenly hunting for a way out of the dingy, claustrophobic store. If he had been anywhere else, it wouldn't matter what size the werewolf could become, the open air was by far his greatest strength, letting few catch him no matter what...or whom he stole. The sudden reverberation of a faintly female voice within his mind startled him, causing the fairy to falter. "She's mine." He sneered in retort. It was about this moment, with the familiar voice gracing her skull that Serafina began to stir, her body fighting against the chemical smell of the cloth he'd pressed to her mouth moments earlier. In that particular moment, it felt as if Raven's voice was the tether needed to bring the girl back to consciousness.

A soft curse left the male fairy's mouth as his gaze dipped down towards the female in his arms. He had been counting on her remaining out....although the presence of the wolf made him question if the woman was such a simple mortal after all. Damn. He wasted no more of his precious time, instead letting his wings drag both him and the girl to the only entry way he saw - the one to the girl's workshop in the back of the store. His movements were quick, relying on his size and his species natural capabilities to out do the gigantic wolf. His gaze slid around the back of the store, noting that he had but moments at best before the wolf was on his heels. It was this desperation that brought the fairy rushing head long at the only window within the back of the store, letting his shoulder hit it with full force. Glass sprayed out in all directions, cutting against their flesh as the shards fell in an array. It was just like that and he was FREE. Or so he thought. Unfortunately for the fairy, he hardly had enough time to stop the momentum of his movement, the alley way on the other side of the window was small at best, sending him and his captive colliding into the brick wall on the other side. He dropped her in the jarring of the motion, the young witch groaning as her world returned to her in painful flashes of feeling and colors.

It took the fairy a moment to take the stock of his surroundings, dragging himself back to his feet as his gaze landed back upon the sparkling gemstone on the witches neck. She was several feet from him, settled on the ground with her fingertips reaching out to the brick of the alleyway in an effort to steady herself. Serafina's head hurt, her fingers felt wet with blood as she reached up to touch a tender spot upon her head. Abruptly his attention shifted towards the wolf, attempting to judge if he had enough time to continue his flight, snatch the girl, her shiny object and make it out of the narrow alleyway without suffering any further difficulty with the lupine. It was a dangerous game the fae was playing, and that he knew all too well.
