East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

His pale blue-green gaze never once left the feminine figure of the young woman settled in front of him, watching the fashion at which her gaze seemed to dart towards the door and back to him, quite clearly judging her ability to escape. He hardly blamed her for wanting to dash back into the storm she had come from and yet, it rather disappointed him. He supposed he should have been used to it by now, after all the life of a Dark Hunter was a lonely one at best. The other species tended to run from him or attack him and those of his own oft were terrible company to begin with. It had been several decades since the man had any decent companionship and lately, he had been left wanting. His eyes brushed over her trembling hand as she reached up to brush her still wet locks behind her ear. It took Alexander a moment to notice his own silent appreciation of the young woman. There was something uniquely lovely about her, beneath the timid nature and skittish exterior. Alexander waited in poised silence as she contemplated her options before slowly beginning to settle back into the seat she'd only moments ago leaped from. He found himself releasing a soft breath of air that he hadn't realized he'd been holding, his gaze noting the almost timid fashion at which she glanced up at him and briefly the Macedonian man offered her a rare glimpse of an encouraging simper.

The corner of his lips twitched ever so slightly at her concerned comment, his head shaking ever so slightly in response. "No, dear. That would take far too much effort." He replied and yet, despite the almost deadpan tone there was a subtle hint of a teasing emphasis in his baritone voice. Killing was a art he was well versed in but like any good murderer, Alexander was equally as knowledgeable when it came to cleaning up the aftermath. It was a time consuming ordeal, one he particularly disliked. The more he began to consider the possibility, as he was often forced to, the more he realized he didn't particularly enjoy the notion of seeing the demure female at the end of a sword. "If you'd like, I'll even show you how to make it." He commented, his eyebrow raising with the smallest glimpse of inquisitiveness. He didn't often put forth such effort in the comfort of his patrons, then again, it had been quite some time before anyone had attempted to dart from the confines of his sanctuary either.

In truth, the Dark Hunter had almost entirely forgotten of the storm that raged outside, his focus upon the female quite steadfast, given the other wise empty cafe. Unfortunately for him, the storm seemed less then willing to cooperate with the Dark Hunter and his efforts to prove to the woman before him that he had particularly little to fear. It fact, hardly but seconds passed between the time his offer left his lips that the lights over head flickered again before the brightly lit cafe was plunged into darkness, the world around them falling into a stoic, permeating silence. He froze in place, almost concerned that the slightest of movements would send the woman running against before his gaze slowly adjusted to sudden lack of light. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly, his blue-green eyes searching out her form in the almost indiscernible darkness that surrounded him, "You're hot cocoa still isn't out of the question, if you so desire it." Alexander voiced in a soft whisper, he was, after all, the persistent sort. Having grown up in an era where electricity would have been considered heresy, a little lack of electricity was hardly enough to dissuade him from his goal.
