Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Let the Christmas Spirit ring

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
There was no denying the sight of that tree in that otherwise empty corner was altogether pleasing. After all, just look at it there! All happy and fluffy and ready for Christmas! Even that corner looked happy to finally have something in it. Aww, it was like they belonged together! It was perfect. This was a good idea. Of that she was entirely assured, once he'd leaned it up against the wall. She felt the man reach up, his fingers so gingerly rubbing against her russet fur in a way that was ever just perfect, so coaxing a nearly purr like sound from her lips as she nuzzled her head into his hand. Seeeee, this was totally worth it, wasn't it?! Okay, he might disagree but SHE was sure it was worth all the effort she'd put into this to so make it happen. Her attention, however, shifted as the man commented that, perhaps this tree was worth decorating after all, even if it required the two to make a trip to the corner store to so make their shared Christmas happen. Her mouth parted, echoing a rather abrupt chirp, as if to say she was more than willing to join her companion upon this escapade for decorations, in fact, she quite nearly demanded it.

Abigail remained perched upon his shoulder has he moved towards his bedroom, the girl watching with those bright hazel eyes as he so fished that hoodie she'd taken such a liking to from the depths of his closet. The girl scrambled up against his neck, wrapping her small body as close to him as possible as to impede as little as she could in his efforts to so fit the clothing article around his frame. It took her a moment to resettle once he'd managed to pull the thing onto his body, her head sticking out from the darkness of the fabric as her head rested upon his chest. A soft chirp left her lips, vastly more comfortable nestled against him then she was certain she should be. Still, he only thought she was a panda right? That made this slightly less...weird....right? Oh gawd, what if he ever found out. Nuuuu, let's not think about it. Nope, nope, nope. We're going to focus on Christmas. And Christmas Trees. And um...stuff. Yes stuff. In fact, it was his very voice that so pulled the girl from her ever increasing embarrassment of the fact of how closely she clung to his body and the whole 'omgwhatifhefindsouti'mahumangirl' thing. It was certainly a welcomed distraction.

Her head tilted to the side at the sound of his voice, entirely inquisitive of what this thing was that so required such a reaction. And yet, despite that curiosity, she still found herself hanging onto those words that she was his only friend. Awww. That made her special, right?! RIGHT?! AWW. ARLO. She couldn't help the way she shifted, living her head just enough to lick his cheek before nuzzling into his features for a brief moment in a small sign of undeniable affection. SHE WAS OFFICIALLY HIS FRIEND. This required celebration. Celebration of...well loves apparently, because really that's all she had to offer him right now. Besides the tree, of course. There was, however, a new found perkiness to her form as he made his way down the apartment and towards the basement beneath the building. Frankly, Abigail hadn't considered parking her car HERE when she had dragged the tree out. That would have made things so much more convenient. How did she not think of this before?! She hardly had time to fully berate herself, however, before he stopped quite abruptly, gesturing towards the motorcycle in front of them.

Wait. What? He got a motorcycle? He was going to take her out....on a motorcycle. In the winter. On a motorcycle. Did he think this through? What was she supposed to do?! She couldn't very well hold onto his waist like this. Still, at least there was a notable...shock on her features. Her ears fidgeted as she stared at it, glancing from the bike to him and back. Her mouth parted, offering him a near vast array of chirps and barks as he moved towards the bike, throwing a leg over it. The girl shifted in his jacket, turning this way in that with quite clear unease of this "readiness" she was supposed to have. It was the sound of his jacket unzipping that caused her to momentarily pause, glancing upwards at him as he gestured for her to move. She paused but momentarily, her claws immediately reaching out to dig into his clothing as she made her way down with care, purposefully choosing his unwounded shoulder before she twisted ever so slightly so her back was pressed against his and the smallest bit of her head poked out of that unzipped portion.

She was going to die. Abigail was quite certain that this was going to be the death of her. Not the jumping of a building, no. This. Watch her just fall from his jacket. Watch him make a stop too quickly and her body go flying. In fact, as the motor turned on, the only thing Abigail could imagine was at least 92934234 ways in which she could possibly die going to the damn corner store. This was the stupidest decision she was certain she ever agreed to. Still, even that assurance of death was absolutely nothing compared to what she endured next. That speed was, momentarily exhilarating - until he ran through red lights and they narrowly avoided colliding into at least four cars. Her heart was altogether pounding in her chest by the time that they arrived into the store. In fact, she'd slunk as far back within the jacket and against him as her little body could manage, almost unwilling to see their inevitable death. It was only once they'd come to a stop that her ruffled fur made itself apparently, those hazel eyes staring upwards at the colored ones of her companion. She could hardly help the death glare she gave him as he so joyous declared that ride 'pretty good'. A grumble left her lips as he so declared they 'come on' and yet, for this one, she might not be so willing to forgive him entirely as quickly as normal, much less be as easily distracted. SHE HAD ALMOST DIED HERE.
