Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

just another night to kill

He felt just plain crappy all that night and the next day. She wouldn't come out of the bathroom no matter how he tried to talk her into it and finally he just decided that maybe it would be best if he just let her have her space and compose herself. She was a strong woman after all and no strong woman likes to appear weak in front of a friend. He didn't want to leave. In fact, he was well suited up to stay all night and wait for that door to open but he didn't think it would solve anything so reluctantly he walked out the door and went back to his motel.

He had stared at his phone most of the night, wondering if he should call her to check on her, but he wanted to give her space. She would call when she was ready, right? Hopefully she wouldn't think less of him for leaving or decide it was too embarassing and she'd rather never see him again. He didn't want that, ironic as it is. He spent most of his existence hating vampires and everything they stand for and now he was hating himself because a vampire might not call him back. Funny how life turns out.

That was the longest night of his life and she never called so eventually he passed out. When he woke up, he tried to go about his day but his thoughts were never far from Amelia. He wondered if she had ever come out of the bathroom and what she thought of him. He wondered if she would look at him now and only think of that so he would associated with something negative in her thoughts. Just what he needed. She already had PTSD obviously and add to that that he might bring up bad memories for her now.

The last thing he expected was the ringing of the doorbell at his motel room. No one was supposed to know where he was staying, not even the council. He slowly got up and went to the window first, an old habit. When he saw Amelia standing there clutching a fast food bag, he couldn't help but laugh before he went to the door. He had a lazy smirk on his lips as he pulled the door open and leaned on the door frame, raising a brow at her.

"ARE THOSE FOR ME? YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE, BUT SINCE YOU HAVE, COME ON IN. THE COMPANY IS APPRECIATED."

He stepped aside to let her in, giving her a playful wink before he glanced around.

"I KNOW IT'S NOT THE FIVE STAR YOU'RE PROBABLY USED TO. SORRY, I LIKE TO LIE LOW. AND DON'T GO TELLING ME THIS PLACE COULD USE A WOMAN'S TOUCH. I LIKE IT BARE. MAKES ME FEEL MANLY."
