Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

when skies are black, full of despair

you were the answer to my dreams

The Englishman was all too aware of that shift within his lover, the King so often far from that state of bewilderment that the change within him was nearly blatant to the vampire, even behind that facade of composure he so presented to the court and his own advisor. Nevertheless, Sebastian was wholly assured that this moment alone was surely all the both of them needed to overcome and cope with that near tornado of greetings they had but moments ago been presented with. His own attention shifted to that golden tray resting so innocently upon the table in front of them and, in turn, the numerous tea cups that had been so carefully crafted just for his consumption. There was a teasing tone to his lips as the vampire commented on the overzealousness of Dorian's staff, though truly he hardly minded it all that much. At the very least, they were attentive to his own culture's adoration of tea. Still, it was that sound of laughter from his lover's lips that so produced a simper upon the man's features. There was something entirely relieving about hearing that sound, of ensuring that life still thrived within his lover despite the pair returning to that luxurious place of the King's confinement.

His head tilted ever so slightly to the side as he glanced at Dorian, listening all too attentively as the King so shed light why his staff was nearly quite so exuberant, he supposed he understood, at least, to some extent. It was but in the past year that these walls had seen new individuals and yet, even then, he hadn't the faintest notion of how many or how often. Still, he had nearly forgotten the true extent of those boundaries that existed between servants and the upper class. They had, naturally, existed still to a great extent within his own era, certainly so when guests abound but between master and servant there was, perhaps, a bit of leeway to be had. Then again, Sebastian had found such expectations could be broken entirely, with the right application of the right sort of smile and the right sort of gaze. "Hmm...." He commented softly in thought, and yet, coercing them to acknowledge his existence was quickly forgotten in the wake of the knowledge that this singular choice of tea would affect the way his cup was brewed each time from now on. His lips pressed together ever so slightly as he regarded those cups before a soft exasperated sigh left his lips. "If only tea was that simple, Ma Biche." He commented softly, more to himself then the man at his side and yet, the tea conundrum was momentarily placed on hold for the delectable appearing array of pastries the two had been gifted with.

A small bite was taken into that pastry crust before he offered it to Dorian to try, all too delight to see that glimpse of glee so cross his lover's features. "I have to admit they are good." The vampire responded, fully willing to give up the treat to Dorian entirely. He leaned forward ever so slightly, eying those small tags upon the tea cups and, scoffing ever so slightly on the occasional cup that was done 'incorrectly'. It took him a moment to settle upon one, only to find that elongated pastry that he was presented with. "This one?" He inquired, taking it with care from Dorian's fingertips, too eying it with the same measure of inquisitiveness before biting into it. The vampire hardly expected that luxurious taste of chocolate that so blossomed to life on his tongue, a soft sound of surprise leaving his lips at the delectable flavor and, for a moment, the man was all too content to occupy himself entirely with that pastry and accompanied tea. The snacks certainly served as a quite impressive 'welcome home' gesture. Still, it was the weight of that silver gaze that so drew the man's attention to his lover, even if he was hardly willing to pause in enjoying that chocolate croissant.

That apology that Dorian so wished to convey to him was entirely brushed off by a flick of his wrist, the vampire hardly truly concerned for that look that Benito had so provided him other then the effect that such an announcement might have upon the perception of Dorian himself. After all, Sebastian was wholly content to be whatever his lover so wished to call him, as long as he was able to remain at the man's side. It was peculiar, really, that simple desire to linger, to be close and one it seemed that Dorian too shared as he so announced that he disliked the notion of the King's advisor attempting to send him off. "Can't bear to be apart from me?" He inquired, a clear teasing hint to his voice as he leaned forward to delicately press his lips against Dorian's own in a tender and yet, all too fleeting kiss. "Still..." He whispered as he pulled away ever so slightly, "I would much rather be here with you too." He regarded the fae King with a glimpse of that warm adoration and yet, any further signs of affection upon the vampire's part were interrupted by a soft knock at the door.

His blue eyes turned towards those colossal doors as Sebastian leaned back into that sofa, entirely content to sip upon his tea whilst Dorian busied himself with whatever affairs so required his immediate tending to. He hardly anticipated the small, elderly gentleman that nearly waddled through those doors, a single eyebrow arching at the sight of that overly large bag. His gaze shifted momentarily towards his lover at Dorian's whispered apology and yet, he hadn't the slightest notion as to exactly what was moments from occurring. He was, at first, entirely content to merely entertain himself with that tea, watching as that bag was pulled open and the array of devices within shown. A slight glimpse of concern crossed the Englishman's features as he glanced from bag and tools to Dorian himself. Whatever this was, he wasn't quite certain this looked to be promising in any fashion. He watched with increased intensity as that glass looking object was selected from the pile before this Geoffrey busied himself with so fussing after his lover. It hardly took him long to work out exactly what the elderly man was doing and yet, his declaration of a 'remedy' brought a quite skeptical glimpse to the vampire's features, one that he surely couldn't hide.

Nor could he hide the clear astonishment as the small moved to himself, taking his own pale wrist within the physician's bony fingertips. That pressing of his forefinger upon his veins told Sebastian well enough of his attempt and yet, the vampire could do little more then offer a soft sigh, his gaze shifting towards his companion in the process with a look that seemed to say 'Really?'. He was hardly surprised in the least when, upon not finding what he was looking for, the physician proceeded to check not only his other wrist but too that vain upon his neck, one which seemed equally as difficult to find any hint of a pulse to. That medical advice he was given caused the corner of Sebastian's lips to twitch in amusement, his gaze once again turning towards his lover before he commented, "What an...astute observation. Thank you sir, for your....very keen advice." His words were chosen with care and yet, it was the best compliment he was capable of offering given the situation. After all, a vampire in sunlight? With vervain? Suddenly, he understood well Dorian's efforts to so atone for the elderly physician before their examination had even begun.
