Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Dorian could hardly help the fashion in which his lips so tugged into the softest of grins at the sight of his lover working so diligently upon that castle. Sebastian nibbling upon his own lip in some measure of concentration as he set about attempting to craft that sand into whatever shapes it was he desired. The vampire surely oblivious to just that way he seemed to look when concentrating, Dorian quite content to admire him unashamedly for several moments before his gaze drifted back to his own castle. The Fae taking several more moments to neatly carve out a pillar upon one side off his own lavish creation, reaching for a little water in turn to afford it that smooth look of a real pillar in turn before at lasting offering those words that played upon his mind. It was curious perhaps, the way that simple act of building castles so seemed to assist in ordering his thoughts in some fashion, Doran finding a curious pleasure of sorts in keeping his hands busy in that moment- all the while offering those words to his lover, regaling the vampire with the tale as presented in the newspapers. How those tabloids had even come across these three potential fathers he hardly knew. That first man Dorian did not know in any sense! Nor did he so enjoy that implication that his Mother had been anything less than dutiful to her husband in that time. His own existence, surely, indicated she had not and yet the man was perhaps willing to forgive her his own creation while remaining assured she was not the type to carry on with three men at once. Perhaps it mattered little, in the end, his lover's query as to whether or not he intended to ask Matteo in the least drawing the sigh from him.

He had considered that very possibility more then one in all those years and yet he could never quite seem to form those words upon his lips whenever it was he was in the presence of the Frenchman. Matteo had so often gone months between visits that on those occasions when he had stopped by there was but a plethora of other things upon his mind outside of the notion of his parentage. With his new found freedom however and too the pressure from the press at large those thoughts had become ill inclined to be forgotten. Dorian daring to admit to Sebastian alone that too- some measure of....worry so beset him in these things. If Matteo so proved not to be his Father then surely this merely left him as he was before with those eternal queries and little to be gained save wondering once more. Yet if those newspapers were right, if the man truly was his sire, then why had he failed to say something in five centuries? Dorian so unable to wipe from his mind all those times, all those moments, in which he had surely needed a father and Matteo had merely watched on from the side. The Frenchman could have taken him away from that palace and that veritable misery of his youth and yet he had not. He had simply watched Ferdinand's treatment off him and done nothing. Perhaps though, there had been little he could do. How dangerous it would have been for Matteo to so publically claim a Prince of Italy to be his own. Dorian's mind a veritable vortex of consideration in that moment as those thoughts and fears turned readily behind his gaze. Sebastian's voice so mercifully pulling him from those worries.

Ah, but how those words might bring some measure of delight to him! Dorian unable to stop the warmth that fluttered within his chest for those words that, perhaps, his very boyfriend was obligated to offer and yet which were sincerely given all the same. That soft smile touched his lips at the vampires assurance he could never be cowardly and that he was surely far braver then any being Sebastian knew, Dorian quite assured braver men then himself existed and yet here and now those words meant a very great deal. His features shifting into a look of inquisitiveness as Sebastian paused then, the vampire seeming wholly careful in his choice of words on the matter. Dorian so assuming it was for his efforts to be sincere alone rather than any truth the man knew of the matter. The Monarch frowning slightly in contemplation of the words his offered, Dorian so never truly having considered it in that fashion before. A Father, he supposed, during those years- would have meant strikingly little while a friend had been wholly invaluable. Dorian exhaling softly once more then.

"You may be right. I think the time has surely come to speak to him about it. Perhaps I might invite him for afternoon tea? Although I suppose that is rather un-needed. I suspect he has already foreseen the conversation. I shall speak to him all the same."

No important matter between companions and those of favour, after all, was ever discussed without some sort of meal. Dorian so unable to move away from those ideals of the past even now, his lips tugged into an almost rueful smile at the realisation that Matteo was perhaps, even now, already aware of just that pending conversation. That distraction of those castles was entirely welcome. Dorian's gaze drawn to his lovers completed creation, the Fae content to praise the vampire's efforts and his striking creativity to so craft something from a fairy-tale. Dorian assured that was supposed to look exactly like Sebastian so dictated- maybe. His companions comments upon that insult and his daringly raised eyebrow seeing that almost guilty smirk threaten to overtake Dorians own features- the Fae struggling to keep it at bay.

"Darling, it is a lovely effort."

That he had very near done it again with those same words remained to be seen. That soft chuckle humming within his chest before he moved to display his own creation, the man quite assured he enjoyed this castle creating art even if it was perhaps a little wetter and sandier then he truly found pleasurable. Still, there was surely a plethora of techniques to learn and sculptures to craft. Dorian delighting so desperately in simply creating in any sense, the Fae moving to add those finishing touches as those passer-by's afforded them both several compliments on their work- at least until the sudden assault of that wave. The both of them, it seemed, caught entirely off guard by that offending water that left them both thoroughly sodden on at least one side. Dorian's shirt sticking to his skin with discomfort as he stood, eyeing what remained off his castle. How unfortunate! This was surely the reason why sand sculpting was perhaps a lesser known art, the beach so presenting a method of destruction. Sebastian's castle, in the least, appearing to have survived that tsunami far better than his own. Dorian commenting upon the sturdiness of it, another chuckle falling from his lips at his lover's defence of the structures beauty.

"It was both beautiful and sturdy."

Dorian offered diplomatically to his Consorts grumbling before he moved to dip his own hands in the water and wash the sand from them. It was only once he stood once more and those children playing upon the shoreline had caught his eye that the Fae King so choose to comment upon then. Sebastian assuring him that while his brothers had perhaps been more inclined to those rougher games his sisters had once enjoyed such idle fun all the same. The Monarch stepping effortlessly away from the man then to flip neatly up and onto his hands in an easy handstand that so attracted the applause of the women seated upon their towels nearby. He hardly anticipated the way his lover approached, that hand pressing gently to his chest, Dorian realising perhaps too late as to the vampires intention.

"Don't you dare!"

Such words so fell upon apparently deaf ears, the Monarch easily pushed off balance to tumble unceremoniously onto his back and into that sand with a dull thud. Dorian snorting in amusement all the same before sitting himself upright, sand now sticking to his damp shirt and sprinkled within his dark hair. Sand, he was so beginning to find, had a habit of getting everywhere. His efforts to brush it from his hair were halted only by the sound of his name upon the vampire's lips, Dorian seated within the sand still as his gaze inclined upward before flicking to that sparkling ocean Sebastian gestured at. See the animals? Confusion momentarily marred his features at the mere idea of how that might well be carried out.

"Yes, I should like to see them very much."
