Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Monarch's head bobbed softly at Sebastian's assurance that an afternoon tea of sorts would surely be a splendid way in which to engage Matteo in those more pressing conversations. Dorian allowing but a small smile to touch his features once more in an effort to convince himself off his own assurance in this. He was loath to consider facing such a conversation without his lover beside him and yet this was a matter in which sense surely must prevail. It was a matter of respect to both Sebastian and Matteo in turn that such a conversation might happen between himself and the Frenchman alone even if Dorian so dreaded the prospect of facing such a thing without his lovers physical presence. His steadfast support would perhaps have to be enough. The Fae King assured to fill his lover in on all those details the moment it was over all the same. Perhaps, if Matteo was so given to be alone with him, the other man might be inclined to speak more freely and if indeed those papers were correct in this assumption then there was surely much to be spoken off. Dorian quite unassured as to just which answer he preferred in this, much less as to just how he felt about the matter at large. How laughable it was that at over five hundred years old he was still given to find himself confused about his own emotions! The distraction of Sebastian's castle was a decidedly welcome one, this was their anniversary after all- Dorian assured they need not dwell on such matters any longer and- with the eternal good nature the Fae so seemed to possess- such thoughts were readily cast aside in favour of attempting to flatter his lovers sand castle.

Sebastian, it seemed, was hardly taken with his efforts to praise his work. That suspicious glower was met with another soft chuckle as Dorian afforded his own creation those finishing touches, smoothing down that sand to give it an authentic look before gesturing to his own lavish creation. A small crowd of people moving to admire that miniature castle, affording Sebastian's own several compliments in turn before those teasing words so slipped from the vampires lips- Dorian merely allowing a snort of a disagreement to pass his own before that veritable tsunami saw fit to abolish both their creations and soak them in turn. Sebastian's tower, in the least, faring better than his own castle that had been reduced to a rather shapeless, collapsed and damp pile. Well! If any lesson was to be learned from this is was that, surely, he should craft his creations further from the ocean. Dorian affording his lover praise for the sturdiness off his own as Sebastian huffed as to its beauty all the same, that simper dancing back upon Dorian's features. His previous worries were all but forgotten in the wake of those castles. His mind fixated instead in attempting to brush the sand from himself, his decidedly damp form seeming to see it stick to him all the more before those gymnastic children drew his gaze. What a perfectly joyous little game! His own form stepped briefly away from his lover, Dorian flipping easily up onto his hands- his shirt falling to hang about his head much to the appreciation of a pair of nearby women before Sebastian's hand suddenly found him. That warning, it seemed, utterly ignored as he found himself unceremoniously pushed into that sand.

How that sand stuck to him now! Hi sodden form positively seemed to attract it and yet he could hardly prevent the simper that danced on his features all the same, Dorian attempting to sit up and brush that sand from his dark locks only to find it veritably settled within. He would be shaking sand from himself for a week! Sebastian's query as to those sea creatures saw the Monarch glance up from his dutiful task. Just how they might go about seeing the creatures on the bottom off the ocean was lost upon him entirely. How he had marvelled at that aquarium and how surely he would marvel to see those animals at the beach itself, Dorian assuring his lover of just that as the vampires hand reached down to him- the Fae grasping it now as he pulled himself to his feet. Only to find himself pulled against his Consort. That sweet touch of Sebastian's lips to his own saw the man respond readily in kind, savouring that chaste kiss entirely for every bit of affection within it. Dorian assured there was nothing within this life Sebastian could not fix with that singular gesture. How he loved this man so irrevocably. Dorian smiling against Sebastian's lips at the mere thought before at last pulling away- allowing his sandy self to be led towards that wooden pier.

That ready inquisitiveness touched his features once more as they wandered towards that boat. Dorian quite unable to remember the last time he had been on one at all, the Fae merely watching as his consort set about purchasing those tickets they so apparently required before leading the way onto the boat itself. Dorian nodded politely in turn to that captain, his hand grasped firmly in Sebastian's own as they progressed onto that ship and further to that observational area below. The sudden sight of that glass floor seeing the Monarch near jerk to a stop in clear surprise. His hand tugging at Sebastian's own for some fear the vampire might somehow fall in. Dorian's mind so momentarily struggling to comprehend what existed before him. It took several moments before that realisation that Sebastian was neither sinking nor drowning nor wet in any sense seemed to settle within the Monarch's mind- Dorian at last following the man onto that floor and towards the front of that boat, settling beside him on that seat and yet, the Fae so hardly stayed within it long.

The mere sight of that ocean life moving beneath them readily saw Dorian upon his feet once more, his silver gaze entirely wide with utter awe at those fish and ocean plants moving beneath them. He crouched down gently, his hand momentarily resting on that glass floor if only to better understand it before so fixing his lover with that near glorious grin at this discovery. For all his fascination of that glass however, those animals beneath managed to ensnare his attention at last. The very idea that these creatures existed in the very ocean they had moments ago just been standing beside and indeed just been sodden by was both astounding and concerning all at once. For all his delight in those sea creatures the Monarch held a healthy respect for them all the same, the man, as many during his time, holding a sort of reverenced fear of the ocean all the same and those creatures that lurked beneath. Dorian point abruptly to a dark coloured fish.

"That is a black-sea bass, that is a summer flounder and that is a Butterfish- they eat smaller fish, squid and crustaceans. They dive to deeper waters in the winter and return to shallow waters in the summer. The males are larger than the females and it is a very good fish to eat, or so the book you got me says. Apparently it's a little oily though."

Someone, it seemed, had enjoyed reading of late. That trip to the aquarium and those museums within England so having seen Dorian near devour those books upon whatever topic it was that held his attention at the time. The Monarch having read near the entirety of his Ocean Life book along with, it seemed, the individual description of most of the fish within it. Dorian at last moving to seat himself beside his boyfriend once more, content to continue to inform Sebastian of just which fish they were seeing regardless as to whether the vampire might truly value such knowledge or not. Dorian assured his lover would forget it within minutes and yet the sheer delight he took in knowing about something within this world at last so saw the man ignore such idle trivialities as to whether anyone else might care to know too. That warm simper remaining upon his lips all the same before the sound of several more guests heading down drew his attention, Dorian leaning over but once more to steal another, final kiss from the vampire before those other patrons arrived for that boat ride. The Monarch so drawing that kiss out just a little before leaning away to rest beside him again. His voice little more than a murmur then.

"You know, Mon Cher, you should wear wet shirts more often. They are quite flattering on you."

That Sebastian's entirely fit figure could be seen beneath that sodden fabric had hardly escaped his notice, his lip quirking just so as several other people begun to seat themselves about and that boat so suddenly rumbled into life. Dorian's silver gaze widening once more. The man hardly having anticipated that it would move! His attention drifted readily downward to that ocean beneath them once more, his gaze flicking rapidly over those corals and small fish, the sight of a small stingray seeing the man frown readily.

"Bastian- I should not like you to go swimming. Those worry me."
