Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

they said fight fire with fire but i just got ash

"Seeera, no."

It was at least the second time the raven-haired young woman had attempted to make some effort, weak-willed though it was, to get herself out of bed and achieve some measure of productivity. Azrael allowed that singular golden eye to open, watching the witch somehow summon the will power to sit up and push those covers back before making an attempt to swing her legs free only for the Hunter to hook one arm easily around her waist and tug her right back in. His free hand shifted slightly to grasp those covers and pull them deliberately back over them both before tugging the woman gently against the hard plains of his own figure and returning them to that blissful warmth. It was Sunday. Sera didn't seem to understand Sunday. Sunday was for sleeping until at least ten, Azrael apparently entirely capable of completing this feat. The Hunter possessing a truly admirable ability to sleep through most of the day if allowed. That added warmth of his girlfriend making such a task all the more achievable. He had distracted her from getting up once already. He was entirely assured he could do it again. It was too fucking early. His gaze rolled briefly to that bedside clock, the time promptly declaring itself to be nine forty five. That was still at least fifteen minutes of bed time still. Azrael hardly willing to waste even a minute off it before he would undoubtedly be forced to get up and see to those plans he'd made for their day. Plans he was entirely sure he could forgo if only to further enjoy the sight of Serafina in that black chemise.

That light grip he held upon the woman tightened into something wholly playful as he rolled onto his back, settling that woman within his arms, Azrael wholly attempting to prevent her leaving beneath that guise of that hug as that soft chuckle managed to find its way from his lips. Such a good mood as this was entirely rare for the man and yet those days off and lazy mornings so had a habit of tugging at that rarely seen and yet almost pleasant side to his nature. Azrael having simply become steadily more content within Serafina's company over those months. That veritable spiky shield he wore seeming to have shifted slightly, even if only for her. The more and more time he spent alone in her company the more...at ease he became with her. The truth of the man that existed beneath that hardened exterior to finally allowed to show himself, if only just a little at a time. His lips pressed almost teasingly to her neck, that soft flurry of kisses trailing down across her shoulder in those further attempts to have her forget all about this getting up nonsense she seemed to be afflicted with. What was so good about outside anyway? It was not nearly as warm as the bed and no one out there was likely wearing such pleasing outfits as this.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, we have to get up. Just....five more minutes."

He uttered almost teasingly to Sera's own playful prodding. It was just so difficult, those days off so few and far between, Azrael relishing those few simple moments perhaps more than he ever believed he would and yet they never were going to make it out today if he never did get out of the bed. Worse than that, they were going to be late. The Robin would phone him, then Jason would phone him, then his phone wouldn't stop ringing for the whole fucking day and he'd hardly get that afternoon with Sera at all. It was with something of a groan that the Hunter finally eased himself up into a seated position, his arms staying around his little Witch all the same.

"See? I'm up."

His lip quirked slightly, his arms unwrapping to finally allow Sera to swing herself from that bed and onto her feet, Azrael following a moment later as he stretched, his gaze readily searching for his clothing, that shirt snatched from the end of Sera's bed before he finally spied his jeans tossed onto the floor. The Hunter crossed the room easily then, slipping them on over his boxer shorts a moment later, one hand lifting to run through his hair, the man declaring himself ready with that simple action. He paused within that doorway then, affording Sera a chance to organise herself, the man momentarily eyeing that new front door he had spent the better part of a day installing a few weeks ago. It had been more difficult the he had anticipated to find a door he deemed strong enough and yet Serafina also deemed 'pretty' enough. He would never understand women he was sure and yet on that at least he had been willing to compromise. A part of the man enjoyed pleasing her and if the price of her safety was merely an aesthetically pleasing door then he supposed it was a small price to pay.

Azrael stepped easily out into that hall then, the man heading for that kitchen and the coffee he had decided he required. That hat rack was eyed almost critically as he passed, Azrael moving deliberately wide around it as if a part of him still feared its impending assault before stepping into that kitchen. His finger flicked that coffee maker on easily, the Hunter pausing briefly to peer back around that corner and make sure Serafina was still in the bedroom before that affinity for speed readily saw him appear upon the other side of that kitchen, a cookie plucked from that jar before the man reappeared beside that coffee point once more. Azrael doing his best to consume that cookie before the woman appeared to tell him off for it. The Hunter having consumed the better part of that entire jar of them over that single weekend. The sound of that coffee finally being ready stirred a simple sound of appreciation from within him as he filled that cup up, the man no sooner lifting it to his lips then the sound of someone behind him saw the man turn to face Sera again. One long limb folded over the other, Azrael leaning back against that counter almost laconically.

"So we have to make a stop today before we head out, I need to pick a few things up from a contact. It won't take more than fifteen minutes and he won't be home. We'll be in and out."

He hadn't told Sera where exactly they were going that afternoon and yet at the risk of her thinking it was to watch him work he supposed that explanation of that brief stop off first was required. After all he hardly wanted her thinking his idea of a weekend date was....work. Azrael assured he could do better then that. Serafina the first in a truly long time whom had ever inspired him to....want to do better.

"Just wear something casual, there....er.....isn't any mud this time."

Azrael
