Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
It was sweet, really, that Prince Charming of Italy considered the young, demure, rural Abigail to be unique and special and rare and all that. Frankly, it was a compliment that coaxed within her those very butterflies that Arlo had a tendency to so simply produce with a wayward look. Although Abigail had every intention to answer those curiosities in the first place, that singular compliment only further sealed her desire to please him, in some fashion. She was, at her core, a people pleaser sort of person. She liked seeing them smile - and he...well...and Mr. Chocolate man...there was a curious look to their gazes when those grins happened to cross their features. It was like a whole different sort of playing field then that goofy sort of grin Arlo tended to provide her with, even if she didn't quite have a word for it. All in all, Abigail was more than happy to blabber on about her kind, the girl altogether assuring him of the importance of that full moon, even if she wasn't quite sure why. It was a curiosity she had never quite asked after. Her kind tended to be nocturnal as it was and frankly, Abigail had thought nothing of it really, at least until he inquired. Still, she knew someone who WOULD know the answer, the girl almost enthusiastically ensuring him that she would find out before she took another sip of that delectable wine, attempting to pace herself and heed his warning but...the fruit! It was soooo fruiitttyyyyy!

Her hazel eyes but briefly followed Dorian's own to the two vampires and yet, they seemed engaged readily enough in some sort of hot topic. It was kind of adorable. It was like...Arlo had another bestie and he didn't even realize it. What was the term that those people at her college had used? Bromance? It seemed quite a silly word but...maybe that's what this was. Frankly, she was altogether content to let the two men continue their conversation at large, particularly when Dorian so easily directed her own wandering thoughts to a far more curious topic - one of packs? What was a pack? Was it like....a pack of stuff? Was he asking her about cardboard? She didn't belong to cardboard. That curiosity was certainly enough to prompt her to ask and yet, she was rewarded with little more than that quizzical look she seemed to continually coax from him! Oh dear, she was not doing too well today at that knowledge thing was she? Still, he was a King, he was probably super smart too. Prince Charmings often were, she was sure. That easy chuckle that left his lips prompted a warm simper of her own and yet, that explanation he provided her only caused her features to twist into consideration. Maybe her parents had been her pack then? If it was like a family....but they were her family!. With a soft sigh, the girl shook her head ever so slightly. "I can't say that I am in one of those. I think taking day trips would be nice though, don't you? Oh! But! I think I have met your Raven friend! Alexis was really good friends with a were named Raven and she brought her to the birthday party I threw for Alexis! I think she could turn into a wolf. She has like....really curly brown hair right? She was really nice but....Raven didn't even know what ballons were, Dorian." She could hardly help that exasperated sound that left her lips, as if that very gossip she had afforded the man was nothing short of utterly frustrating. Who didn't know what a balloon was?!?!

Luckily, Dorian easily steered that conversation to other topics, at least, before Abigail could lament that lack of balloon knowledge too greatly. That comment of Arlo and herself being suited for each other was rather sweet. She liked to think they did too, it was, she was sure, why they made such good friends. They got along so well and, Abigail was mostly sure she could tell Arlo anything. In fact, he was the bestest best friend she'd ever had, even if he was also the only one she had ever had too. Still, she could hardly help that guilty look on her features at the inquiry as to how they met, even if she was willing to admit that it had been entirely her fault. A soft sigh left her lips at his question, her head shaking ever so slightly. "Alas, no. It was probably stepped on...it looked like it was going to be a really really good one too...all juicy...." That apple, it seemed was one that had lingered in her memory, prompting an almost wistful breath of air from the girl. She missed that apple. Still, it was only polite to ask Dorian where he and his companion had met, though she did find herself truly curious. That mention of a bar was almost surprisingly....normal, given how utterly abnormal either man appeared. Still, she wasn't one to complain, the girl instead latching onto that comment of how charming the vampire had been. Her head bobbed ever so slightly. "Arlo says that a lot of people find him charming." She stated, entirely oblivious of the near double meaning to that word. "I think he's quite charming too." She added with a firm nod. Well, at least he seemed nice enough and Arlo clearly liked him.

It that that very thought that too seemed to cross Dorian's own mind as he commented on how pleased he was to see Sebastian was a friend. Frankly, she was happy to see Arlo with a friend too! What she didn't expect was Dorian's comment that vampires finding friends amongst each other was rather...rare. Her attention was steadfast upon the fae Monarch as he considered an answer to that very inquiry. She hardly anticipated that it was a territorial issue that so caused their kind to be at odds and yet, territory was something she understood well enough. Still, it was that possessiveness of the things they liked....that made her tilt her head in thought. "I wonder if Arlo is possessive over Sebastian then..." She questioned out loud. "He does like to eat him quite a bit. He tastes like chocolate, apparently." She informed the King, even if Arlo hadn't actually said that....per say. But Arlo did talk about him like he was chocolate!! Abigail was all too content to consider that very quandary, enough so that she was caught entirely unprepared for that question of how long she had dated the musical wonder. The whole idea of....of being Arlo's girlfriend was enough to fluster the woman entirely.

Those words left her lips in a string of syllables, her whole sentence was quite near breathless as she explained what her dating history consisted of. She could hardly help that nervous look on her features as she regarded the man across the table. Slowly, Abigail nodded at that summary of all she had offered him, her cheeks positively aflame with her own embarrassment. She hadn't expected Dorian to....encourage her in giving Arlo a chance? Wait - was he saying that...that Arlo liked her too? Wait! No! She wasn't supposed to be having these thoughts! But....but if Arlo liked her....then....maybe it was okay for her to...think about that? Maybe? Her thoughts, however, were thoroughly distracted by that declaration that Arlo truly had a nice butt. "DORIAN!" She declared, clearly taken back by the fact that the man had been looking at her Arlo! He had his own boy to look at! "You! YOU HAVE SEBASTIAN!" She flailed her fork at him, as if insisting he kept his eyes to himself! She had, in that moment, nearly forgotten the two vampires that sat so close to them, Arlo's voice alone prompted her to flush all over again with all she had been speaking to the King of.

Those words the vampire whispered so closely to her only furthered that blush on her cheeks, if such was even possible. Those words of thanks were almost squeaked out of her lips and yet, that change to her demeanor was one Arlo seemed to pick up rather quickly. "I'm fine! I'm fine!" She responded, waving him off with her fork before quite purposefully turning back to her own salad. Frankly, Abigail was super pleased that the conversation changed, even more so in the direction it shifted to. After all, a gig for her best friend was super awesome! She watched attentively as Arlo questioned the pair on it, the woman entirely content to remain silent as she finished off the salad. After all, this was Arlo's choice.....but she really really really wanted it to go well for him. This could be exactly what he wanted.
