Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

He knew that he was asking a lot of her. She was a vampire. She'd been immortal for years and she would continue to be immortal. So was he but they were two very different species. She could be with anyone. She was beautiful and intelligent. She could have anyone, and yet she was with him. It had to mean something. He leaned in the doorway and stared at her for a moment, telling her he wanted to file this moment away and she pointed out that he had a phone. He chuckled and shook his head. "While I may want to see this moment, I'd loathe for anyone else to get the chance to see you in your glory. No evidence. I've got a steel trap up here." He poked at his head with a wink. He moved to the bed then, kneeling before it and as if she knew he was about to open a part of himself to her, she moved to sit on the edge of the bed, searching his face. He took a breath before he spoke.

When he was done, he expected to see surprise or shock or just total speechlessness. Instead she cupped his cheeks with her hands and pulled his lips to hers in a hungry kiss. He groaned into it, his hand coming behind her head to tangle in her hair as his other pressed into the small of her back. When she finally pulled back, he was breathless, his eyes twinkling as she told him that she would be honored to be his wife. He grinned at her from ear to ear. "Thank you." She pulled him back against her for another kiss but his head was already buzzing. She'd said it would be an honor to be his wife. He was going to be a husband and a father. Who would have ever thought? She pulled him up with her, her body pressed so perfectly to his. Before he knew it, she had his shirt over his head and on the floor.

He chuckled and raised a brow. "Impatient, are we?" At her question, he tilted his head in question. When she extended her hand, he grinned and dropped to one knee. He pulled a box from his pocket. "I was waiting for the perfect moment. I wanted to make a big thing of it. But that wedding in Italy just made me think about how even immortals can lose track of their own lives and those that are important in it. I don't want to lose you for anything. I want you to be mine forever." He opened the box to show her a beautiful sapphire ring. His eyes looked up at her hopefully.

"Amelia Marek, will you do me the official honor of being my wife sometime in the near future?"
