Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

She couldn't begin to stem the wave of embarrassment that continued to wash over her. Due to such emotions, those words begin to fly from her mouth, assaulting Dareios. She might have felt bad but the state she was currently in she simply couldn't think of anything else besides what had happened last night. Chocolate eyes wide, she stares at him - cheeks flushed as she grips the mug between her hands. She's faintly aware of the warmth that seeps into her cold hands but it hardly lasts long before her slender fingers come attempt to shield her face from Dareios. She's hardly aware of the confusion that lingers within him and the desperation that comes with trying to quell a woman who was quite nearly on the verge of a panic attack.

His words are faint in her ears as the blood pounds through her brain. She hardly can focus on any one thing as her chocolate gaze peeks through her fingers at him as he attempts to console her. Alone? He put me to bed alone? she thinks to herself, it was so very... gentlemanly, she didn't think that sort of chivalry existed in the world anymore. Still, she can't keep the blush from staining her cheeks as she all but dies slowly inside. How could she have possibly gotten that drunk?! To not remember half of your night was... well it was a rookie mistake to be frank. Miya knew better than to allow a stranger to take her home, she was still new to the supernatural world but she at least knew it was dangerous for a human in this city. Those very thoughts push her over the edge again as she practically word vomits all over Dareios, announcing she was a virgin.

Covering her face, she quickly announces she needs to leave as she quickly walks down the hall - did he just say vampire? Slowing to a walk, she pauses in the well lit corridor her gaze locked on her feet as her blush slowly recedes. Didn't he say something about that last night? Racking her brain, the pounding headache comes through though she does faintly remember him telling her he was a vampire - and she... well, took it as a joke. There was no possible way the mayor of all people was a vampire, was there? His words are drowned out in the back of her mind, though she faintly registers them as her brain fires a mile a minute. So very slowly, she turns and faces him, her chocolate gaze holding his for a moment as she inspects him. It simply wasn't possible...

Taking several steps forward rather slowly, she closes a bit of the gap as she watches him, "You're a vampire?" She whispers. This man was nothing like the monster that attacked her in the alleyway all those months ago, Miya narrowly being rescued by a man named Alexander who introduced her to nearly all the supernatural creatures in the world. Though, she couldn't judge a book by its cover, her old roommate being a vampire too - it still made her nervous. To be in the presence of something other was not something Miya was quite accustomed to.

In that moment, her face drains of color as she sways slightly, stumbling before she catches herself. "You... mentioned that last night but I didn't believe you," she mumbles quietly, her fingers coming together in front of her as they twist nervously. She should leave, right now. Miya couldn't imagine it was very safe to be in the presence of a creature that survived off of blood. Still, she's frozen in place her wide eyes staring at him as a sense of foreboding and fear crawled up her spine, rendering her immobile.
