Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Walk me home in the dead of night
I can't be alone with all that's on my mind

A part of her still couldn't believe she was standing outside of her neighbors nondescript door, having rapped her knuckles on its thickly painted surface only moments ago. It left her now to wait with an odd sense of tension flipping low in her stomach as she heard movement within followed by the turning of that nob and the sight of Alistair's dark figure filling the doorway. It was a bit of a shock to be facing those features that were startlingly familiar despite the little time they had spent together, and yet different as if he had undergone a myriad of subtle changes over the last few months. Quarantine certainly hadn't softened him in any regards it seemed. For some reason his appearance, which should not have been as surprising as it was turning out to be considering that she had knocked on his, and yet it was obvious from the way her cheeks warmed and her thoughts muddled.

Through some intense effort and concentration, and some eyebrows raised on his part, she managed to get out the reason for her unexpected appearance on his doorstep. Her explanation sounded rather lame even to her own ears, and seemed to cause him some confusion as well as to what, exactly, he was to do about her boredom. The promise of caffeine seemed to warm him to the idea however and she found her lips pulling into a smile as he accepted the offer. His invitation to wait inside his apartment while he finished getting ready was something she did not expect however, blinking once before she stepped over that threshold. The movement had her passing close by as he held the door for her, the clean scent of soap from what had to be his recent shower filling her nose pleasantly even as he moved to close the door. She turned slightly as he brushed past her and followed him with soft steps into the heart of his home, her eyes drinking in the sights that gave quite a bit of insight into the reserved man she had spent so little time with.

Despite the flat being laid out in a pattern identical to hers in the way only apartments could be, it contrasted her own in nearly every way. She merely nodded slightly, waving her hand towards as she barely registered his comment about only taking a moment to get ready her attention entirely devoted to taking in the strikingly clean landscape before her. Though not quite sure what she expected, Carolina had never given it much thought, but perhaps with knowing he was an artist she expected a much more... eclectic style similar to her own. Instead her gaze swept the area noting the nearly methodical neatness with which everything was sorted into its particular place. While possessing the clean, modern aesthetic so many magazines seemed to display there was still a warmness to the interior which she had not expected.

Despite her intention to simply stand where Alistair had left her as he went in search of shoes, she was getting an inside look at the dark hunter's home and that all too familiar curiosity burned within her. She wandered past couches and arm chairs, all an agreeable monotonous shade, peered quickly at a desk that was obviously often used yet organized with startling precision, but finally found herself near the large windows overlooking the city. Her focus however was on the canvases which were clearly in progress, and yet still had enough structure to be intriguing as she observed them. The sound of footsteps returning down the hallway made it clear the canvas' owner was returning, but the leopard made no attempt to hide that she had wandered. Instead she only pivoted slightly, letting her gaze rove over the apartment's owner as he shrugged on his jacket which made his muscles roll in a way she thought she shouldn't focus on too much and moved down to the shoes which now adorned his feet.

As he voiced the question of where they might be going her turquoise eyes bounced back to his face, though she chewed her bottom lip for a moment as she contemplated. Clearly she had not thought this through, but luckily something came to mind rather quickly. "There's this new place a few blocks over, across from a small bookshop I've been going to. It looks like its worth a try if you're up for it." She raised one eyebrow in a small challenge before turning back to the incomplete pieces. "Are these for business or pleasure?" she questioned airily, gesturing to those pieces before retreating back towards him and the door.
