Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It had been a relatively peaceful evening, Frost having spent the better part of it in the company of the girls. Claire had gone to bed early, leaving only himself and Calliel, the young blonde girl having been more relaxed of late, at least after their discussion and as such Frost had merely read while she attempted to find the TV program she had been looking forward to all week. The television, truly, did not appeal to him. The first stirrings of discord within the pack bond had seen the man shift in discomfort. Edie alone was out tonight, the man assured of her location all the same and indeed he had perhaps anticipated some restlessness from the bond tonight, the girl sure to discover some level of displeasure at being surrounded by so many others and as such it was deliberately ignored- at least until it begun to occur with far more frequency. Had he not told the girl to be careful? Truthfully he half anticipated she had done something as entirely foolish as attempt to seduce Tetradore or Tobias, an irritable snort passing his lips at the inconvenience his night had become as he stood, heading for the door and striding out onto the street in the direction of the west. Whatever the hell was happening it was only getting worse, the man already well aware that he would never reach the west in time, not in either form, though his pace quickened upon the sidewalk all the same. Stupid girl. It would be rather a shame if she'd died however- he'd almost been fond of her.

It is only after several more blocks that a rather evident shift occurs in the bond, the woman moving.....closer towards him, to home. Another mutter falls from the snowy-haired mans lips as he merely pivots where he stands, striding back towards the house now to assure himself he would be home when she finally arrived, his features decidedly blank as always and yet his irritation at having been forced to leave his home so late at night simmered readily below the surface. Calliel and Claire were asleep at least. Hmm, perhaps that was for the better, at least for tonight. Once he finally reaches the house once more he strides back upstairs, assuring himself both girls remained asleep before several things become entirely apparent to the man. Edie's mind was reachable once more, her proximity thusly decidedly close- yet she was not alone, a mind he did not know lingering alongside hers- along with a scent he had become decidedly familiar with in the kitchen. How very intriguing this was. Emotion, in any form, is not readily given from the often indifferent stallion, Frost choosing to remain upon the landing for several more moments, watching the unfolding scene below as a man of decidedly African appearance seemed content to bellow down the halls before taking a bloodied Edie into the lounge room.

The minds of neither were particularly clear, no more than snapshots of thought afforded to him on just what had occurred tonight and yet....some of the picture was clear as long fingers drum smoothly against the railing and Frost simply continues to watch. It is only the impending destruction of his bathroom and the salty, metallic smell of far more blood then he deems necessary that sees him descend the stairs once more, Edie's scream bringing a frown to his features before the full sight of his lounge room confronts him. This man, whoever he was, had managed to successfully get blood on the vast majority of the room.

"Her pack, you will find, is here."

The deep, cool of his baritone rings out smoothly, Frost wandering easily into the room now, what little of his violet gaze could be seen drifting from the dark-skinned man and onto Edie, the bloodied towel still pressed into her side with what he can only presume is the wood removed from it tossed on to his rather expensive rug.

"Move."

He hardly affords the other man an explanation, his voice offering little room for argument, pack or otherwise this man was on his territory and Frost saw little need to spare him should he decide to formulate any argument about it as he simply moves to take Kato's place at her side. It is easy enough to pull the towel back, allowing his gaze to briefly examine the wound the other man had made some attempts to heal before his gaze moved to Edie's own.

"I have half a mind to leave this here, Elskan, if only so you might better remember that I warned you to be careful."

One eye lifts slightly, his voice perhaps mildly less frigid in tone as it had been when offered words towards Kato, one hand lifting slightly to cut off any words Edie may have been about to offer.

"I expect to be told what happened in full- but later. I can...see some of it already. For now we will deal with this- and that."

His head nods briefly towards the other man before his attention returns in full to his companion, his own powers readily engaged now to send heat throughout her body, chasing away every bit of cold, allowing that blissful, heated warmth to spread through her at his command. One hand moves then to rest upon her wounded side, the stallion examining it for several moments before slowly, purposefully, dragging his thumb across it- the wound healing rapidly in the wake of his own touch until her side is left as unscathed as it had always been. His own features offering perhaps the barest of flinches at the feeling of the wound carving itself into his own side. This....stung rather a bit and yet his bodies own healing had already begun to work upon it- the addition of Edie's power, once she was strong enough, assured to heal it rapidly all the same as Frost simply moved to stand, leaving the girl to examine her healed side- a power he had not yet displayed to her and one he makes no move to explain for now, merely assuring his jacket covered his own side. It is at last to Kato his attention moves, Frost stepping towards the other man now, violet gaze appraising him loosely.

"You pulled her from the water- I owe you that much. Frost."

His hand extends easily to other man, shaking it briefly, content enough to acknowledge the service he had afforded his pack tonight before withdrawing it, a sudden right hook aimed at the side of Kato's face in the same single, fluid motion. Hardly enough to damage the man, but enough to affording him a bleeding nose before Frost steps abruptly back once more.

"-and that is for my dining room table. I can smell you all over it. You also ate my pie, which displeases me. Edie, in future please keep your adventures to your bedroom, or the shower at best. Kato, is it? You may stay, if only because she has some affection for you and because it seems you saved her. When you annoy me sufficiently you will leave."

His arms fold easily across his chest, the young, snowy haired man turning away now that his authority had been exacted, crossing the room to seat himself in his own chair, another log tossed onto the fire as he did- ignoring the tenderness of his own side now. Something for Edie to fix later.

"Now, one of you will tell me what happened."
