South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Miyako seemed pleased that she was wearing the leather jacket, before admitting that she spent a lot of time at the college lately. Malia scowled in concern cause Miyako seemed unhappy about it, but then she smirked. "Well, do you feel any smarter?" Her eyes gleamed teasingly, hoping to coax a smile onto her friend's face. Then Miyako asked about Henry and Malia was happy to report the good news. The last time that they'd spoke, Henry and her had just gotten into a fight because he couldn't accept what he was but since then, they'd made up as friends and he'd even shown her what sex was. She couldn't be more pleased and she expressed as much to Miyako who didn't look all that happy for her. She looked more puzzled than anything. But then she said that she didn't know who the other people were Malia was talking about but she was happy as long as Malia was cared for. She smiled. "Oh yeah, I never go hungry. Nadya keeps the fridge stocked. I'm doing good." She assured her.

The moment it looked like the guys were surrounding them, Malia's hunter instincts kicked in. She would not be preyed on and she wouldn't allow that to happen to Miyako either. She was her friend. Especially not by stupid humans. They had no idea what they were getting themselves into. She hated being surrounded. It almost made her feel claustrophobic, which made her adrenaline go up which would eventually lead to shifting but Miyako tugged her away from the men, asking what happened. Malia explained as much with a light shrug, Miyako's sudden concern puzzling her. She told her to be careful and Malia snorted. "I'm not scared of them. Don't worry. Stupid human boys aren't even a concern." She rolled her eyes. They continued walking but Malia wanted to let Miyako know that they were being followed. She felt Miyako's fear crank up as she tensed and it made Malia's protective instincts kick in. She wouldn't let anything harm her human friend. She could feel Miyako's worry in the glance she gave her. She looked skeptical of Malia but should learn soon enough. Malia's lips twitched toward the shadow of a smirk.

A guy called out from behind them and Malia tensed, her senses prickling just enough to see the man reaching out for Miyako. Miyako had let go of her to grab more tightly to her bag and something inside it. Malia's brow raised in question but her instincts kicked in as the man reached, snatching Miyako out of his reach as she shifted and turned on them. She hadn't been thinking when she did it; it was just instinct. She didn't think about the fact these were human guys and Miyako was human. She didn't think about whether they might know about Were's or not. She only knew that she had to protect her friend. She heard the sound of fear from Miyako and assumed it was at the men as she sent them running. But as she turned back to Miyako, she saw the fear was still there...and it was directed at HER. Malia's brows furrowed, before she realized what she'd just done. She gasped, bringing a hand to her mouth before Miyako asked her a question. Her face softened. "A WereCoyote. I can shift back and forth. Sorry, when my adrenaline gets pumped up, I sort of half shift. It's harder to control." She shrugged, hoping that would explain it well enough and Miyako would forgive her and they could just continue being friends and laughing and talking and pretend this never happened.

She glanced down the way the guys had gone, snickering as she turned back to Miyako, her eyes lit up with amusement. "Guess I showed them, huh?"
