South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

Even though non-challenging, the relative silent stare down of the two alphas made Nadya a bit uneasy. Frost was her boyfriend and yet this was her father which drew a measure of respect from her. She was grateful for her father's acceptance of Frost's further explanation of his name, or rather his simple hummed response before his attention diverted to Izzy who was not taking being left out of the attention very well. Nadya still couldn't offer her parents an explanation on where they were going if only for the nervousness of their reaction. She sprang upon the opportunity to leave the room and thus the conversation the moment her brother's were mentioned.

The meeting with her brother's she was far more certain would go well. Nadya wasn't exactly displeased when seeing her brothers were sparing, though she was a bit miffed, expecting her father put them up to such display. She supposed she was lucky that he hadn't invited others in the pack. Honestly, she wasn't a little girl anymore and should be able to bring home a boy without her father having the proverbial shotgun in hand. Nonetheless, with a reassuring squeeze to Frost's hand, Nadya called out to her brothers who were only too quick to come galavanting towards them. Their entire body language was different than her father's when she introduced them to her boyfriend; Ethan going so far as to even compliment Frost's hair. Her own hair was given a glance but nothing said on it. It caused Nadya to relax and happily jump into her younger brother's arm for a playful hug and swing of greeting. During her distracted state though she didn't hear Liam giving Frost a warning, although nothing more was said of it. Liam simply shook Frost's hand, gave the warning, then settling back into his spot. His big brother duty was over so long as Frost took to heart what he said.

"We're Ligers." Liam answered as he pulled his shirt on. It was a common enough question they got that he didn't find it odd or rude. "Dad's a lion and mom's a tiger." Nadya rejoined Frost's side with a smile, "Oh you should have seen it when I first got here. I was terrified of them. I'd never seen such big cats and even Ethan grew bigger than me before I finally got down shifting on my own, and he was only 10!" Liam chuckled, "Nadya was so tiny we called her the Peanut of the family- ruffled her fur for a bit." Although it had turned into a term of endearment, the spitfire of a little panther had grumbled and swatted about at the name. The boys attention diverted when the announcement of food was called out the backdoor. "You joining us?" Ethan questioned before taking off after Liam into the house.

Nadya was about to follow when Frost took hold of her hand. Her lips pursed slightly. "I...didn't think we'd be here long enough but I forgot about weekend brunches." It was one thing to announce she was dating a horse which meant he didn't partake in any hunting but another to admit he didn't even eat meat in human form either. Nadya had just been going for the baby steps when she was talking over the phone. "It's ok, we can go, we don't have to stay for the meal." She didn't want Frost to feel uncomfortable at a table of meat eaters which was far different than their own at home. Nadya smiled softly at Frost's statement about her family. "They take some time when it comes to outsiders but ...they have the best in mind." She was grateful that all things considered it was going pretty well.

She was fully prepared to head back in then but was caught off guard by Frost tugging her aside and his lips falling to hers in a stolen kiss. It was different than those fueled by desire, this one soft and caring that made her heart skip in a way she hadn't felt before him. His arms around her were welcome and easily settled against his chest with her own arms draped over his. The words he spoke were...surprising to say the least. She didn't dare look at him, her entire body tense with the new information she was now processing. They could have a child? A family of their own? How long had she told herself not pain herself over the impossible? Her mind was a mess of questions but all she could manage to do for a moment was grip at his arms around her.

The brush of his lips to her neck broke those thoughts and warmed her body. The tension left her body and with it brought a sigh passed her lips. "I...I'd like to hear more about this research at some point." Her head turned to glance back at Frost with a smile. The ache of the past would be just that, the past, and she could look towards a future of possibly giving Frost a family, a child of his own. Nadya's attention turned back to the house with a nod, "We should get back before they send out a search party." She pressed a kiss to his cheek before once more taking his hand and leading back into the house. Nadya felt so much stronger with Frost at her side.

Upon entering the kitchen they were greeted with the table laden of steaks, waffles, sausage links, bacon, and at least two dozen worth scrambled eggs. Ethan was already piling his plate while Liam and Robert settled into their places talking over some border squirmish. "No business at the table." Cynthia scolded lightly scooting the twins in their highchairs over to the table. The twin's trays were already scattered with cut up pieces of the food and munching away. Nadya glanced over the array, "We're going to get on the road." "Nonesense, sit, eat, you can't travel on an empty stomach." Cynthia motioned for the couple to take the empty seats on the opposite side of the table. "No..it's.." Nadya shifted, leaving Frost's side to approach her mother and mumble so the others wouldn't hear. "A what?.." Cynthia blinked then glanced to the food. "Oh." She gently pat Nadya's arm, "I've got just the thing." Nadya raised a brow as her mother disappeared back into the kitchen only to reappear a moment later with a bowl of fruit salad and placed it on the table. "I made this for the picnic potluck tomorrow but I can make more." The boys gave it an odd look, slowing in their eating having realized they missed something. "Well don't look at it like that, it's not going to bite you. You boys should have some too, it'll do you some good." Cynthia huffed with stern motherly tone as she settled into her seat.

Nadya glanced back at Frost, "Our flight isn't for another few hours...?" She slowly moved to one of the empty chairs. She wouldn't sit if he wanted to leave. "What's wrong with our food?" Robert eyed the previous array of food then the fruit his wife was spooning onto his plate. "You don't like eggs and bacon?" His eyes turned up to Frost, half blaming him for the 'green' stuff now on his plate.
