South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I don't usually put myself out for hire or do anything for anyone without some benefit for myself, really. When the guy approached me in a dark alley after a particularly satisfying meal, maybe I was just in a good mood and that's why I actually leaned against the wall and heard him out on his plan. He wanted a vampire to help him with something, a killing. That would usually be my cue to laugh in his face and walk away but something made me hear him out and actually agree to meet up later. I know he would have rules but I was only half listening when he got to that part. Who actually likes to do things exactly as you're being told? That's no fun.

So I found the target within the next night, got him alone and broke his neck. It was almost too easy, especially when I can whisper in his ear to step close and be quiet and he'll do exactly as told. Even though I don't like to be told what to do, I'm almost too good at making others do exactly what I want. I then promptly threw him over my shoulder, joked with the passersby about my drunk buddy who I needed to get home before his wife found him like this, and made my way to the one place I find myself at peace: the cemetary.

The last time I was here, I met a were girl who rocked my world. We did it right on top of the graves and it felt amazing and then she'd haunted my mansion for the next month or so and disappeared without a trace. I was actually enjoying her company but I guess I should say good riddance. Who am I to want a chick hanging around, sucking all the fun out of my life? Since then I've gotten back into my normal routine again. I hang out at the local bars, get to know random people and feed when I'm thirsty. I take girls home and feed and party and dance and then feed some more and we fuck the night away. That's the life if you ask me. But this? Killing has its own certain flavor, especially when I might be getting paid for it.

Money means nothing to me anymore. I've got way more than I know what to do with. I've accumulated a lot over the years and invested it accordingly and now I could care less about the stuff. I didn't do this for money. I don't even know what's in it for me yet. Like I said, I must have been in a good mood that night when I was approached with the deal and tonight I'm going to meet the man who put me up to it. We had decided on a bar but when I walked by with the guy's body thrown carelessly over my shoulder, I decided to keep on walking. Now, I did pause for a few seconds to actually contemplate doing the deal as we had decided but something about it didn't set right so I decided to keep walking instead and this is where I ended up. The fog is rolling in, giving the cemetary a haunted setting which only puts me more at ease. I lean up against a fence post, arms crossed and looking as relaxed as ever. The body is a foot or two from me, thrown face down on the ground.

When I hear someone coming, I can smell the smoke from his cigarette already. A small smirk tugs at my lips as I see the smile etching its way across his lips and somehow I know this is the guy I was going to meet. He speaks first, letting me know how he feels about vampires and I merely shrug, looking bored. I tilt my head, eying him with amusement.

"I would like to think that's a compliment but I could really give two shits how you feel about me right now. Here's your corpse. Now what's in it for me?"

I've always been one to cut right to the chase. I lift a brow at him daringly, leaning lazily against the fence post as I wait to see if he can make it worth my while. I usually deal in favors but I'd like to see what he has in mind first. Let's see if he can impress me.
