South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I'd only just learned that Raven can now change her size. At the full moon meeting, it was quite shocking to suddenly see her fluctuate to a size two times her usual size. I'm sure that kind of power must give her more confidence. Who would mess with a wolf who can grow bigger at the mere thought? Of course, I was almost expecting myself to be caught when I snuck up on her while she was napping in the woods. I figure her hearing is so good, there's no way I'll get away with it, even with my power of stealth. If I'd looked close enough, I might have noticed the tell tale signs of a nightmare going on in Raven's mind and that would have given me pause in my next actions. I know well what it's like to dream about the past and get stuck in the reality of it once again. Almost every night I dream about life with my dad and how I was wounded almost every day by him.

I remember her telling me that she felt safe in a cage. While that may seem ironic, I can understand her point. No one could reach her while she was inside of it, just like how I ran away and hid, playing my own version of hide and seek. While I was hidden, I was free and no one could reach me. The moment I leap, my paws touching her fur, she flinches though of course I would expect that in a reaction of shock when she didn't see it coming. She yelps and wakes up and I land nimbly back on my feet, yipping in laughter even as I turn my head to see how she's going to retaliate.

She starts scrambling but falls off the rock and into the creek. My eyes widen like saucers. I wasn't expecting all that but I'm stuck between wanting to ask if she's alright and laughing more. She falls on her back in the water but quickly rolls over to her stomach, looking up to see me. I go back to yipping, now that I can see she's okay. She pulls back her lips but I can see that it's a grin, not a warning. She gets up and shakes off before leaping out of the creek and I stiffen, ready to play. She barks at me in play and I bark back, eager to have someone to play with. I play bow before her and she returns the gesture, but then something strange happens. She closes her eyes and before I know it, her size is changing, down instead of up this time. Before I know it, a small dog sized wolf bows before me.

She suddenly charges forward, dodging left and right and I ready myself, bracing for impact that never comes. Suddenly she turns around, taking off through the woods. I bark in laughter and take off after her, running as fast as my little legs will go. I follow her, leaping over the logs and diving under others, darting through the bushes like they're nothing. I bark after her, happy to be running for a new reason other than my life. I can see a clearing up ahead and I wonder if that's where we're headed. I see her turn her head to look back at me and I curl my lips back, grinning at her. I try to catch up, aiming to touch my nose to her flanks in a tag gesture. If I do tag her, I'll quickly dart off in another direction to circle the clearing, challenging her to give chase.
