South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The smell in the humble apartment was intoxicating and Henry couldn't wait to taste what Sterling was cooking. If the meal tasted as good as it smelled, then Sterling was in the right line of work. He had a way to bargain right there. Anything he could ever need or want could be gotten by a little smoozing of the right people by a delicate meal. Henry was confident in that fact. As he watched the way Sterling moved about the kitchen, Henry couldn't help but admire the dance he played with the food. It was artistic. It was beautiful and perfect and damnit, it made the man before him look very, very attractive to Henry. However, Henry wasn't rude and he wasn't about to try to scare the poor man away by looking like a love-struck child. So he wiped the smile off his face and took another swig of his beer.

When Sterling finally noticed the change he had left on the counter, he told Henry to keep the money. It didn't surprise Henry in the slightest, but he couldn't bear the thought of owing this man anything. "Perhaps so, but I can't be in debt to anyone." Henry had this feeling that he was never supposed to owe anyone a damn thing. Maybe he was poor and worked hard for his money. Maybe he was now rich and had once been in a place where he was forced to borrow from others. Henry was a prideful man, one who was independent and fully capable of providing for himself. Asking this stranger for help seemed wrong.

As Sterling began to explain why he would avoid a cheap motel at all costs, Henry began to wonder what kind of city this was. It didn't sound very pleasant at all. It sounded like a deathtrap. Perhaps it was a good thing Henry had no memory of this place (or of the creatures that lurked in it). Perhaps he was saving himself from something truly terrible. "Some city this is..." Henry spoke under his breath, but it was loud enough for Sterling to hear if he was truly listening.

As the plate of food was lowered in front of him, Henry took a deep sniff, loving the blended smells of the garlic mashed potatoes, the green beans, and a perfectly seared steak. As Sterling took a seat next to him, Henry was already digging into his meal. He had no clue when the last time he had eaten, but his body was starving and it couldn't wait for pleasantries or prayer.

The flavors that filled Henry's mouth were heavenly and Henry couldn't help but think this was the best damn steak he had ever eaten. He was practically shoveling the food in his mouth as Sterling began speaking. Henry tried to slow down and enjoy his food, but he couldn't. While he was busy chewing a rather fatty piece of steak, it gave him time to listen to what Sterling was offering him. While it was a good gesture, Henry wasn't sure he could accept it. This man, a complete stranger at that, was willing to shelter him, feed him, and help him find a job, and apartment, and perhaps even who he was. It was so much to give and Henry was sure it was entirely more than he could ever accept. "Sterling...I...I can't let you do that for me. That's entirely too generous an offer for me to accept." Henry would survive. He would find himself a job somewhere and an apartment. He would figure out who he was in time.
