East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'll never tire of the way she looks. The first time I see her any time is like the first time in my life. When I open the door, she's a glorious sight. I brush the dark thoughts away and try to focus on the good, only wanting to be close to her as long as she'll let me. The simper on her lips is like heaven and I return her passionate kiss with a lingering one of my own, even folding my arm around the small of her back and dipping her back to deepen the kiss before I straighten her back up and release. My grin is impish as she takes my hand and walks me to the car. At her question, I raise a brow and chuckle, starting the engine and pulling away to head to the outskirts of town. As we near the great bridge that goes out over the river that flows through Sacrosanct, I pull off to the side of the road and turn the car off, turning to face her. "Remember when we jumped off that cliff? You faced your fear that day. This time should be a piece of cake."

Getting out, I head around and open her door, holding out my hand to help her out. I lead her toward the bridge, ignoring the traffic whizzing past and the curious onlookers that I'm sure are staring in wonder at the couple heading onto the bridge like it's the most beautiful place to be. I lead her right up to the middle of the bridge and then I stop to stare out over the water. "Beautiful, isn't it?" I stare over the railing. Then I start climbing over the railing and stand up on top of it. By now, cars are starting to slow down, thinking me the average "jumper" that's giving up on life. I grin and hold out my hand to her. "Care to fly with me again, love?"
