East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

In truth, Chizue had never actually become acquainted with a witch. She had seen them before, of course, and she knew well of their existence but knowing of and actually meeting one was something else entirely. The youthful vampire was ignorant of the true extent of what their kind was capable of and, in turn, she hardly had even begun to consider the possibility that Isolt might find a way to give life to the world thanks to some particularly difficult spellcraft or swallowed potion. Rather, what little she knew of their kind was known entirely from her own maker. To be frank, she saw little reason to doubt him. He and his friends had been particularly....exuberant to inform her of her new life after death. Still, Chizue hardly doubted the man before in the least. Damon had never led her astray before and if he said that Isolt was in danger and this cult believed she was capable of producing an offspring, she had no reason to think otherwise, merely instead offering suggestions on how such a thing may be done, in some aspect at least before inquiring as to how she might actually assist him if his own research had been done so thoroughly.

Her head bobbed ever so slightly as the man began to explain he hardly wanted to leave anything to chance and though she doubted she'd find anything new on the cult itself, she could atleast, do some further inspection upon what that witchcraft was capable of. This was at least a tangible place to start. Her thoughts on the beginning of this new found research (which, she also realized she could fill her newfound journal with) were interrupted only by Damon's insistence that he refused to let any harm come to Isolt -that he'd rather put his own life on the line then let even a scratch come to the young vampire. It was...quite endearing really, the way he spoke of Isolt with such passion and devotion. She was happy for her friend, truly, and yet also a bit envious. She liked to daydream that, perhaps, there would come a day in which someone would think of her with that same fire, as silly as she was assured it was. "I know." She uttered softly before adding in an effort to reassure the man, "I'll see if I can find anything, okay?" At the very least, if it helped to put him at ease, she was more than willing to do the work.

Her head tilted inquisitively to the side as the man continued, commenting on how they were soulless creatures and yet, this individual whom was their goddess was supposed to be on a veritable pedestal. This new information caused her lips to press together in consideration. "Hm.." She commented softly, though in truth no immediate explanation rushed to mind. Still, she hardly wished for him to think that she was ignoring him, the girl responding moments later. "I....I'm sure we'll figure it out." She muttered though she let the conversation drift elsewhere, the girl briefly glancing over those slim aspects of her life that sounded even in the slightest bit interesting, as few as they were. It was, however, the mention of pillow fights and that perhaps more risque suggestion that caused her idle conversation to come to a direct halt. After all, the girl was momentarily gripped with the simple knowledge that, soon, it would be entirely...unacceptable to remain within Isolt's home. Not with the soon betrothal on the horizon. It was habit for her eyes to turn downward, that action drawing her gaze to the book in her hand as the man commented he'd nearly forgotten of his offer to purchase that novel.

She offered him a small smile, but by no means made any motion to insist, instead simply following him towards the cashier. She was hardly oblivious to that glimpse she was given by the woman, even if she wasn't entirely sure what it was for. Rather, that simple glance made the girl almost shrink backwards, her fingers fidgeting nervously with the hem of that shirt she wore. It was only at the man's return that she reached out to take that book from his hands. "Thank you." The girl responded, her gaze darting past him briefly towards that cashier. She hated to think what she had done wrong to deserve such an intense stare but, what she was sure of was that she disliked that glance. It made the poor girl vastly uncomfortable. However, any further thoughts of that woman were interrupted only by a seemingly innocent question. "Hungry?" She inquired, glancing up at the man. Chizue was entirely used to ignoring that hunger, partially if only because doing so affected only her moods, unlike her fellow vampires. It somehow softened her, made her more sluggish, tired and slower to respond. It took her a moment of thought really, to remember the last time she'd eaten and if she was what would be described as...hungry. "I...I suppose so...it has been...awhile since I ate..." Her voice trailed off with uncertainty and yet, she'd yet to find that pleasure to be found in eating as others might have done. Her gaze traveled over the individuals in the bookstore, so easily catching onto their distinct moods and persona and though some were surely appealing, that steady stare of the cashier sent a shiver down her spine. "Perhaps....elsewhere?" She inquired, her voice held a cautious tone, as if she already anticipated to be denied, though why, even she couldn't say.
