East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It had been a tiring few days since he had last seen the blonde Hunter and spent the better part of the evening interchangeably both shoving and dragging him away from the Hunter gathering- only to have Alexander continue to shove him back for much of it. For a mere man he had been surprisingly powerful in his efforts, few yet ever truly having dared to tell the equine he could or couldn't do something, less still in possession of the spine it took to actually act upon it. He was an oddity this man, an agitating, stubborn creature. His status as a Hunter put him outside Frost's own reach as any sort of Alpha, incapable of exacting the domination of him that came so easily over his own species and as such, some part of the stallion- finds Alexander both frustrating and yet curious all at once. His human side however is well aware of the man's actual value and a need to maintain some sort of comradery with him- regardless of how that was to be achieved, Frost's ability to make friends not his strongest of traits and yet there was much to be discussed with the coffee making man- a task Frost had resigned himself too and yet spent the better part of the day putting off as he simply lingered across the street- waiting for the last customer to finally make their way out of the little café before he resigned himself to the task at hand.

He was loath to offer the Hunter his human form, seeing no true need to allow Alex to identify him in his human guise and yet his inability to speak with the man in any other fashion had deemed it a regrettable necessity- at least for now. The café was warm, the scents within not overly unpleasant as what was visible of his violet gaze proceeded to examine the room around him, hardly having bothered within his equine form to note just how many...oddities seemed to decorate much of the walls around him. One hand moved to smoothly select a cube of sugar from the nearest dish of them- his weakness for such things utterly unconquerable in any form despite Alexanders belief he would 'lose his figure' with the amount he consumed, rolling it with satisfaction atop his tongue before simply pausing at the nearest shelf. Much of what was stored here was older then the snowy-haired man had truly anticipated, the vast majority of the books, half in a language that boarded upon archaic, were so aged they looked as if they would fall apart at the touch. He had held his suspicions about Alexander since the Hunter's meeting, in all the years he had known the others not one had ever referred to Xerxes as Bessus- let alone mentioned anything about his supposed 'death'. His own knowledge in regards to the dark skinned Persian placed him ridiculously early in the folds of history, a number of his own far more recent books upon the Persian Wars and notable historical figures having steadily begun to narrow down the possibilities for his own companion- a man Xerxes had recognised with equal loathing.

He simply dismisses the thoughts for now, fingers brushing over a number of curious items the equine hardly holds any knowledge of, frowning slightly in some vague display of curiosity. Some of the collection appeared to be useful, arrowheads of sorts, a small stone carving of what appeared to be a black horse, a deck of cards that seemed to contain only the King of Clubs, books in languages beyond even Frosts skill with such things to decipher among pieces of metal or rocks or carved wooden things the man has no true knowledge of. The bit from a horses bridle however, is a piece of equipment he is far more familiar with- almost green with the age of the rust upon, turning it gently about in his hands a moment before becoming distinctly aware he was no longer alone.

"You know-"

He moves to replace it upon the shelf, arms folding across his chest as he does, turning now to face the Hunter whom had finally come downstairs or from around the back- wherever he had been.

"That style of bit went out just after the dark ages- you might want to update your collection a little."

He offers little more than a shrug of his shoulders, stepping sideways to collapse into the nearest available chair, his injured leg twinging slightly with the action though it was well on its way to being healed. What little of his gaze is truly visible beneath that shock of white hair moves to find the Hunter's own.

"It's Frost, your horse- neigh."

He had been looking far too blank for Frost's liking, one eye lifting slightly until some moment of recognition seemed to dawn on the other man's face before reaching for the jar of sugar once more, pulling it easily towards him (and out of Alex's more immediate reach lest the other man try to stop him) in search of another treat- assured Alexander had an apple concealed somewhere to be found later as well. For now however, other more....pressing business assures.

"We need to talk, I- what is that buzzing?"

He has not, in any fashion, become aware of his newest ability in this regard. The 'buzzing' he believes he hears the beginnings of thoughts not his own being picked up by a mind oblivious to it's own talents, like static on a radio not properly tuned to the passers-by as the wander in and out of his range as he frowns slightly before returning his attention to his newest companion.
