It would seem perhaps, that I regards to pack, the pair may never be given to agree, the male entirely unable to understand the woman's fears, her abuse, her negative association with any form of pack at all- when his own experience is so entirely different. He has spent well over half his young life desperately seeking his missing pack mates and as such, only having been so recently united with one another, has no desire to ever leave them again. Her words are met with a head tilt once more, a habit, it would seem, when he is given to any sort of deep thought as he seems to offer her words some measure of consideration before he simply shakes ahead, content to argue with her all the same.

"No.....it isn't. Pack is....the....most important."

His opinion on that, may very well never change and yet, for all his volatility and dark nature there is a section of himself that seems so entirely separate. He has lived alone for years, forced into that solitude by the actions of a single vindictive vampire that had so unknowingly taken away what shreds of family he had left, fortunate perhaps, that he himself, along with Naddy had survived by chance, escaping her purely by accident and yet despite his nature, his cruelty, his seeming disdain for other beings his loyalty in this regard is unflinching and has remained as such for all these years. He knows his place, understand his role and has pursued the return of that with relentless determination very few are given to possess. It is, perhaps, his single redeeming trait. He is loyal- beyond belief. A loyalty that even know continues to be tested, the shaggy haired boy subject over and over again to Tetradore's abandonment every night, commanded not to follow despite every instinct within himself assured his place is beside his Leader. He remains within the warehouse because he is told to, because he is as much Nadya's defender as he is Tetra's and yet each day it only cuts more deeply against him. Though still he stays, refuses to seek independence, refuses to leave. Pack, after all- is everything, at least, it is to him.

Her determination to correct him in regards to her apparent purpose in life does little to improve the situation as his arms fold across his bare chest in belligerent defiance once more, content to argue, it would seem- about whether or not she is for carrying. She is a woman, beneath him, her very gender assures as much and it is made clear that he disapproves of her defiance in regards, a growl of sorts caught within his throat as she demands to stand on her own feet. He likes carrying her, adores the feel of her fur and has little desire to give up this new found task, for now however, he is content to set such desires aside in his favoured choice of manipulation, appealing to her more emotional side, softening his own features until it is he sees her relax, if only slightly, assured he has had some effect, attempting to coax that trust from her, though whether this is to her own detriment cannot be said. Her compromise sees his features alight once more, the idea that she may ride on his shoulders a clearly thrilling thing to him as he grins readily now, handsome features momentarily clear beneath that dirt and grim that seems to cover him, the boy akin to a street urchin.

"Yes...this is...good. We can...play now...change back to....the pretty thing and I will.....close my eyes and you will...hide, yes?"

He waits for her assurance in this, evidently content not to mention his ability in this, hide and seek a game he cannot lose, the boy nothing short of a dirty cheat and yet really, what else is to be expected.

"Are you....a cat?"

That he is not entirely sure what animal she is clear in these moments. 'Fox' means little to him, the boy unable to decide whether or not she is some breed of feline, her scent a curious one to his innocent young mind. His demeanour however, has changed remarkably in these moments as he steps back and way from her, offering her space once more, content with their deal, enough so to allow her some sense of freedom from his oppressive presence.

"Do you...know where...Tetra goes at dark time?"

That she does not even know what 'Tetra' is remains to be seen, the boy oblivious to such things, determined to ask all the same just in case she should understand, dark hair falling back into his eyes as those dark pools turn back upon her, still waiting for her to change.

madness, as you know, is like gravity: all it takes is a little push
