Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The faerie girl had hardly thought about her power when she'd reached out for her friend. After all, the power had only presented itself once in that evening with Aiden and she had yet to test it even further. In fact, she'd almost forgotten about it until she brushed her fingers against the woman's suit and her mind was assaulted with a flash of images. She could see the girl pressed against the brick wall in that alley with the man's lips on hers just as easily as if she were living it herself. Truly, Vhalla was the last person that she expected to be kissing random men in dark alleyways, and yet the vision was so entirely clear to her. She couldn't help the way that she blurted out the question on whether or not the girl had a date. She saw - she felt - that flash of anger from the woman. She jerked her arm back at the woman's words, biting her lower lip. "I didn't lie to you, I..." She started, though she found herself quickly looking over her shoulder. This was not a conversation the Fae Queen wanted to have on the street.

Instead, she grabbed ahold of the woman to drag her inside that apartment, insisting that if her friend was going to be dressed in something cute to go on a date with the handsome man she was so clearly interested in. Vhalla was her friend, and that was enough to have Sam ignoring the glare on her face to take her inside. She didn't speak as she took her upstairs, only speaking when she asked the woman to sit down so that she could look through the closet and find her something to wear. It was only when Vhalla insisted that there was nothing wrong with her outfit did Sam chuckle, shaking her head. "Your outfit is fine, but you can't go on a date looking like that," She went immediately into her closet, humming to herself as she looked through the dresses in her arsenal. It was only moments later that she appeared with the blue dress in hand, pressing it into Vhalla's hands.

"I guarantee he was serious. You're gorgeous, and any guy would want you," She said with a playful smile, sitting down beside the girl. She reached over to her, brushing a stray lock of her hair behind her ear. She was careful to only touch the girl briefly, letting out a soft breath. "You showed up here because you're interested. I'm not naive. I know that look." She tapped the girl on the shoulder playfully. "Remember, I can feel your emotions. I'm not stupid." She didn't elaborate on the way Vhalla felt, instead focusing on the girl's question of how she read her mind. "Oh, um." She shook her head. "I wasn't lying when I told you I couldn't. I... It's new." She offered her a shrug. "I can apparently read minds when I touch someone, but only if they're feeling a strong emotion. You were nervous downstairs. Aiden was... upset. That's the only two times it's presented itself so far. I can't tell you how it works, other than that I didn't mean to."

She stood up then, grabbing ahold of the witch by her arm and pulling her towards the bathroom. It only took a second before she had shoved the girl into the room, pulling the door shut behind her. "Change, and then come back in here and I'll help me with your hair, and you can tell me all about the handsome man you were making out with." She chuckled playfully through the door as she leaned against the wall outside, sure that Vhalla would continue to fuss with her and the impossibly short outfit that she had found for her.
