Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Vhalla was certain she would enjoy teasing the Hunter with modern slang, she had now caught him twice off guard with the use of her words and she found it rather amusing. The assassin would tuck that information away in order to tease him in the future, she was sure it could be incredibly infuriating in not understanding the world as it was today. Of course, the assassin had been well concealed from the outside world until only a few years ago, there were still things that Vhal wasn't yet aware of.

She was thankful for the short taxi ride because after his comment about her choice of hiding place for her weapon, she simply burned at her ears. Vhal was grateful for the cover of darkness. After they arrived at the club she didn't miss the furrow of Will's brows at her choice of venue and she can't help but let her lip curl up in a secret smile. She would let him think what he would, she knew where she was going and rather enjoyed the confusion dancing in his eyes. After she drags him into the cozy room she laughs as he continues to grumble about the dancing of this age.

"I couldn't agree more," she nods towards the door, completely blocking out the raving music, replaced by a gentle acoustic symphony. "Dancing like that comes in handy sometimes," she comments as he moves towards her and pulls out her chair. Giving him a small grin, she can't help but let her gaze linger on his face momentarily. Taking a seat, she gives a shrug to his local remark, "I've been here for as long as I can remember, I know my way around the city. I prefer the smaller local places and the slums over the riches," she raises a shoulder, watching him lift a menu to inspect.

"Perhaps I'll wear it down for you from time to time," she winks at him again, "given my job description, it's rather hard to wear out of its braid," she laughs, surprised with herself for how open she was with him about her "job". Reaching across the table she snatches the menu out of his hand and discards it on the end of the table, "I do know the chef rather intimately," she purrs at him letting a seductive pout dance across her plump lips, "that's why we won't be ordering off the menu," she claims gesturing to the discarded laminated paper.

Before she can continue a door opens at the opposite end of the room revealing a rather tall woman with her hair severely pinned back from her face, clearly showing the older age of the woman. Swiftly standing, Vhalla takes several steps toward the lanky woman matching the woman's broad grin before the two embrace briefly avoiding the wine bottle in her hand, "It's been awhile, Hannah. It's good to see you," the assassin offers another smile, her eyes softening just a hair. "Vhalla! It's so good to see you! I hope you've been well. I won't keep you long because I see you brought company, strange to see you here with someone-," Vhalla suddenly glares at the woman, willing her to be quiet.

A full bodied laugh escapes Hannah's mouth as she places her hands on her hips, "Oh, calm down you touchy, woman!" she cackles again before continuing, "What will it be tonight, Vhal?" she asks, inspecting William briefly before bringing her eyes back to the assassin. Huffing a sigh, Vhalla simply rolls her eyes at the woman, "Surprise me, Hannah just bring enough for four," she mumbles before taking a seat again. Hannah laughs again before filling the two wine glasses with a deep, red wine, leaving the bottle and exiting the room before calling over her shoulder, "Don't trash my club again, sweet pea," she says cheerfully before leaving the room.

Bristling at the pet name, Vhal reaches for the glass of wine, swirling it gently before taking a sip, hoping the alcohol will calm the butterflies in her stomach, "I'll introduce you later," the assassin comments, realizing her poor manners, another blush rising to her cheeks, "Sorry, this is not... normal for me," she admits referring to the date, "You'll find I'm a poor soul with no manners," she laughs lightly again, setting down the glass, placing her elbows on the table and interlocking her fingers, resting her chin on her slender limbs.

"I've never been on a date before," she blurts out, eyes widening at her own honesty. Quickly placing her hands in her lap wringing them fiercely her face burns with embarrassment as she looks away from the handsome man.
