Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

it just wasn't the same alone on Christmas day

you were the answer to my dreams

The simple presence of Giles' wife alone seemed to cause that warm simper to blossom over his features as she so shooed the small congregation into the house and the welcoming embrace of the warmth that existed within those stone walls. Nevertheless, the vampire found himself offering a softly uttered word of apology to the Italian man at his side, all too aware that any strict protocol of lord and servant was often rather loose within these walls. It was a boundary the vampire certainly did not strictly enforce after the many years he'd spent with them all. Still, he was well aware of how peculiar it must have been to Dorian, the King's words only further managing to confirm such. Within his own day and age, such clear affection had been just as equally as oddly placed but, his country's view on such gestures had changed and too, the family had grown and blossomed in it's own right to become what it was now. His thoughts on those generations that had led to this very moment, however, were interrupted by a soft gasp that so left his companion's lips the moment they stepped into that entryway, a glimpse of satisfaction so crossing his features in that singular moment.

The Christmas Tree stood with an unrivaled splendor in the middle of that room, so dominating much of the vampire's attention. He had requested the estate be decorated to mirror the holidays, perhaps even going overboard in his recent purchasing of objects for his estate. Still, it was altogether different to see the items listed upon a bill compared to so blossoming with life in front of him. He was unaware, in those moments after, of the diligent search Dorian so engaged within to find his own likeness in the portraits that lined that hallway, instead merely taking the King's silent observations of the place as little more than just that - observing all that Belton had to offer. It was with a flick of his wrist that Sebastian so gestured to one of the connecting rooms. He paused at the threshold, simply waiting as Dorian so seemed reluctant to leave the first room his gaze had fallen upon. A small simper danced across his features as Dorian finally followed him into the vastly more comfortable Tapestry room. Sebastian all but fell onto the sofa before the fireplace, momentarily reaching out for Dorian to so join him.

His fingertips so embraced those of Dorian's own, intertwining with ease before he gingerly pulled Dorian down onto the sofa, allowing his companion to nestle into the sofa and his very lap. A small hint of a simper crossed his lips as his fingers reached out to gingerly entangle in Dorian's rustled locks. He was hardly concerned in the least of his household so finding the pair of lovers. Quite on the contrary he himself still often spoke to Giles and had informed the man ages ago of their blossoming relationship. He was entirely certain his elder manservant had informed his wife and the gossip spread like veritable wildfire that, after so many years, he had finally taken a lover. Rather, the entirety of his attention was settled so wholly upon the King himself, his darkened gaze decidedly soft in those sweet moments as he commented with a teasing tone as to just how they had so 'made it' to Belton House with any major event occurring. That in itself was particularly noteworthy considering the anxiety that had hours ago beset his lover at the prospect of the plane.

A grin crossed his features at Dorian's idle comment on the plane itself, his head bobbing ever so slightly at the admittance that it failed to plummet from the sky as he had so promised it would not. However, it was that simple admittance of the splendor of his home that managed to please Sebastian the greatest. He was under no guise that the King had not seen splendor far greater than what his own country estate had to offer. After all, Dorian had lived in a veritable palace before, one whose silhouette he had only seen from afar. Still, he appreciated that gesture all the same and the excitement his lover so held at the place of his birth. "Thank you." He uttered softly, his own lips pulling into a delicate simper as Dorian reached up to so press his lips against Sebastian's jaw line. How he so relished in those simple gestures of affection! Even after the hours they had spent together and the months Dorian had been his alone, he still had yet to tire of such adoration in the slightest. Still, he was aware of that slight shift the King's demeanor, a glimpse of concern briefly fluttering across his irises as that frown danced upon the fae's lips.

His head bobbed ever so slightly at Dorian's observation of the perhaps peculiar relationship with his servants and their families. They were perhaps the most meaningful individuals within his life, still looking after him with such diligence far beyond anything he ever could have imagined when he first employed them nearly two hundred years ago. Prior to Dorian, they were perhaps the only great gift he had found within his death. Still, he hadn't anticipated the way such ties might so affect his companion. His head tilted ever so slightly to the side as Dorian commented on how utterly bizarre such a tender relationship was to him, the comment momentarily saw his own features frown ever so slightly. However, that comment of Giles wife so considering him equivalent to a son brought a soft exhale of amusement from his lips. "It is, funny really. I remember when she was just a blushing bride and Giles was just a child." He shook his head ever so slightly, before admitting softly, "Yes, I know I am. I hadn't realized what I had found with them when I found them." It was a simple admittance and yet, none the less true. Still, he hardly lingered long upon them, after all, he'd long ago strove to care for them in every way he possibly could. Rather, what concerned him more at that very moment was Dorian himself.

Gingerly, he reached down to let his fingers brush against Dorian's cheek, so interrupting those pensive thoughts with a singular reminder, even if it hardly needed to be voiced. "...but...you still have me, Dorian." He muttered softly, the vampire entirely determined in those moments to ensure his lover hardly felt alone within the world. After all, Sebastian had no intention of ever leaving what he had now found within the Italian King, the man perhaps willing to follow his lover to the very ends of the earth itself. Still, a small simper crossed his lips at Dorian's idle observation and slowly, the vampire leaned back against the sofa. "I know they will. And soon enough you'll have them too." He uttered simply, entirely assured that his makeshift family would entirely approve of his choice within the fae. After all, how could they not when Sebastian himself was so utterly taken with him?
