Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

It was a weird noise she made. Not quite a bark and not quite a chirp and not at all like a cat and yet whatever it was h was quite sure he'd never heard any sort of animal make it before in the entirety of his not-all-that-long life. Even so, if he was ever asked to write that sort of book one gave a child where it pictured an animal and the sound the animal made underneath he was entirely sure no true word existed to describe that noise his Little Bear was making each time he nearly collided with someone or something. Arlo, somehow, managing to drag that tree she seemed to want all the way up to his apartment, although why he'd done it he hardly knew. After all, how was she going to take it with her when she left? She lacked opposable thumbs for a start and by that notion he'd come to decide she probably lacked a house to keep the tree in. He supposed he'd have to store it for her really and yet that wasn't exactly difficult to do. It wasn't like his house really had anything in it. To be fair the tree filled a previously empty space so it might as well stay. Her barking had given way to that odd chirping once more. Arlo having already come to decide that chirping noise was one more associated to joy while the barking was more akin to, well, bossing him. The Panda seeming content with his placement of it all the same before he allowed his thoughts to be spoken out loud. Wondering just what on earth he was going to do with it now. He might as well decorate it really. Not that he owned any decorations.

The purring that so seemed to vibrate within the creature at the touch of his hand managed to see a simper tug at his lips, the vampire chuckling softly at his odd little companion as he rubbed just behind her ear in that almost absentminded fashion before pausing. Almost as if anticipating the animal to provide him with her opinion on his suggestion of a trip to the nearest store. He is met with little more than her rather blank stare and a sudden chirp. Arlo willing enough to decide this was a yes, or at least, as close to a yes as a Panda could give. Leaving the girl upon his shoulder he moved easily back into his bedroom, fishing out that familiar and comforting black hoody before pulling it on- working around his Little Bear all the same, letting her settle once more upon his shoulder or in that hood before drawing that brand new set of keys out of his pocket.

"I don't have any friends in this city outside you, Chicka, so I haven't showed this to anyone yet. It's your job to look shocked and awed and jealous when you see it like my friends would, you know, if they existed."

That a Panda could not exactly make all that many facial expressions was hardly lost upon him, his wallet shoved into his pocket along with his phone before shutting and locking that apartment door behind him. Not that he really needed to, he supposed. What was anyone going to steal? He moves easily back down those stairs then and towards the parking garage beneath the building, one hand flicking for the lights to illuminate that gloom as he wanders along the rows of overly practical, boring, slow, tired and see-better-days cars. The vampire halting at the end of the line, gesturing now to that sleek, shining black and red motorbike.

"Well Chicka, what do you think? It's a Ducati Scrambler. A hell of a lot more fun than that car. Ready?"

A grin teases readily at his features now, the vampire stepping forward to swing one leg over the bike, the engine roaring to life a moment later before Arlo moved to unzip his jacket at the front, gesturing for his little pet to climb down between his jacket and his shirt. After all, the chance of her being able to stay on his shoulder at speed seemed decidedly unlikely. Arlo having no desire to have her blown off, the vampire zipping his jacket up once more, leaving just enough room for her head to poke out the top and see where she was going. The bike rolled effortlessly forward, Arlo lifting his feet a moment later, the bike gliding up and out of the garage and onto the street. Arlo more then content to open that throttle now. After all, when you could weave in and out of traffic why bother sitting in it? Vampiric reflexes had to be good for something didn't they? Why not bike riding? That he has very nearly run two red lights in the space of two minutes hardly seems to bother him, one striking blue eye glance downward to make sure his Little Bear was entirely alright feeling that wind in her fur before he sped onward, the bike guided expertly left and right, in between around and past anything Arlo deemed to be moving to slow. A fifteen minute drive reduced to five with his version of driving before the vampire at last slowed to a more steady pace and eventually a stop, swinging the bike into the nearest parking space right outside that store before leaning back to meet his companions gaze. Arlo attempting to hide his chuckle at her thoroughly 'fluffy' fur. The ride seeming to have seen her fur....puff out quite a bit.

"Pretty good, eh? Wait till I find a big open road with no traffic and I can really rev it up. Then I'll show you some real speed. Ready to get those decorations? What? Don't look at me like that! You loved that ride, you know you did Chicka, life in the fast lane, it's the only way. Come on."
