Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you were the answer to my dreams

Sebastian could scarcely imagine the sensations that so affronted his lover upon standing on that threshold, the vampire himself certainly lacked the courage Dorian so had to return to that gilded prison. He himself avoided even stepping near that home he'd once shared with his wife, hardly daring to even step into it since that fateful day. It was that notion of being faced with something decidedly similar that saw the vampire's fingers tighten around his lover's hand, his voice soft as he offered the fae King a simple promise - that regardless of what happened, he would not allow his lover to remain locked behind those doors ever again, at least as long as he was alive. Those bright blue eyes so steadfastly met the silver gaze of his lover's own, eternally confident in his capabilities in this and yet, willing to be the shoulder to lean on in those moments of uncertainty that surely plagued the King. Unfortunately, his lover hardly had a moment to to voice the thought that had crossed his mind before those massive doors before them swung inwards to reveal and aged fae in quite dated pajamas. Sebastian's eyebrows raised ever so slightly though he hardly voiced a syllable in response to that astonishment that echoed in the man's voice. Rather, the vampire was wholly content to remain within the background, knowing well that this reunion was but Dorian's own to have.

His own gaze instead wandered upwards, so taking in that polished marble and the intricate ceilings. He eyed the golden hued light fixtures before landing upon those kneeling figures that so rested in front of them. It was but the sound of Dorian's voice that drew the man's attention and softly he offered admittance that, perhaps, this palace out did even those halls of Buckingham Palace. Caserta was certainly a sight to behold, of that even Sebastian could not deny. A small, reassuring simper crossed the vampire's features. "I look forward to it." He responded, his eyes instead shifting at the small flick of the King's wrist, so prompting the crowd around them to raise to stand. Sebastian watched in vague inquisitiveness as Benito so sent members of that court scurrying down those hallways, though for what reason he hadn't the slightest of notions. His eyes lingered upon the high born women that had gathered together in that corner with the same measure of inquisitiveness before flicking back towards the aged fae at the mention of a single word - Matteo.

A small frown crossed his features, the man vastly more attentive to the conversation at hand at the mention of the one man he was most apprehensive to meet. His own eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly at the notion that the elder fae not only knew well where Dorian had been, but had a notion too of what had been occupying the majority of the King's attention. He was relatively assured that he had never seen another fae even within his lover's presence beside his roommate, though, given Matteo's talent he supposed it was wholly possible the man had stalked the halls of his home during those daylight hours. And yet - how had Charles not found him then? That manservant's whole purpose was to ensure the safety of the Englishman during those vulnerable hours. He was wholly engrossed in this very consideration when the weight of Benito's gaze fell not only upon him but too that coin that rested around his neck. Sebastian was nearly oblivious to the man's gaze alone if it wasn't for the sound of Dorian's voice, so coaxing him from those concerning thoughts.

It was, however, the simplicity of that singular word 'Lord' that could so shift the man's demeanor, his spine straightening ever so slightly before offering the man before him a small nodd. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Benito." He responded, polite as was surely expected of him, both as a Lord and too as an Englishman. He was hardly oblivious of the state of shock the elder fae seemed to experience at not only his presence but also his new found title of 'consort', though what aspect of the surely complicated relationship had stunned the advisor the most was certainly left to be discovered. He watched as that aged fae so attempted to form some measure of a sentence before failing entirely, just as his gaze too flickered towards the muttered whisperings of the court born ladies that had so congregated around them. A small hint of a frown touched the vampire's features, the man shifting ever so slightly in a subtle display of uncertainty as to whether this announcement had truly been the best course of action. It was the sound of Benito's voice that drew his attention, a warm smile crossed Sebastian's features as he let his hand fit within the advisor's own in a firm handshake, "Thank you.".

That slight gesture of the King's hand caught his attention, as did that steady thud of Dorian's heart pounding against his rib cage . He could hear it, feel it even, as the weight of that court's gaze fell upon him. His own blue eyes shifted towards his lover, motioning with a slight nod of his head for the King to join him, even though he doubted the reassurance that such gesture might provide. That bright smile once again crossed his features as his lover stepped into those glorious hallways, those doors remaining open behind him in the same fashion Sebastian had been so assured they would. That moment alone seemed to ease his lover's heart, his frame becoming noticeably more at ease as he walked through those familiar halls, it brought the vampire a hint of satisfaction to so see Dorian's apprehension eased. After all, he'd hardly been oblivious to the anxiety that had beset the King for the last few days at their impending arrival.

Sebastian trailed beside the fae monarch, so allowing the King to lead the way whilst his own gaze became all too distracted with the breathtaking architecture that surrounded them. There was certainly a level of opulence here that Sebastian hadn't fully expected, the man entirely inquisitive of that palace that so surrounded him. He was inclined to simply touch that stone and those intricate details that his lover so effortlessly breezed past, that glistening gold caught his curiosity, as did those splashes of colors that graced the walls. Later, he was assured, he might be afforded the chance to wander these halls but, for now, he remained, as ever, at Dorian's side where he surely belonged. Those large doors the page boy so rapidly rushed to open too caught his attention and yet, he hardly had the chance to take but another few steps inside before they were eased close behind them and the pair was left entirely alone. For a moment, his gaze simply remained upon those doors, as if the vampire was entirely taken back by the fashion in which that court so seemed to rush. Still, he supposed this was how things were now that they'd been afforded a glimpse of modern life - there was so much to do, so much to fix, so much to get accustomed to. He shook his head ever so slightly at the notion of it all, his attention instead turning to something far more familiar - tea.

His own gaze swept over the number of tea cups that so occupied that tray, entirely surprised that his lover's kitchen had taken to brewing that tea in a multitude of different fashions to so appease him alone. It seemed a touch overdone, instead of simply asking how he liked his tea and yet, he hardly had a moment to comment on it before his lover so tugged at him with a clear intent to have him settle on the couch Dorian had taken up. A soft chuckle left his lips as he gave into that unspoken request, so falling back against that plush material to nestle beside the King. "You have lived up to your word." Sebastian offered in response, so commenting on Dorian's previous assurances that, despite the years that had passed, his palace was as extravagant as ever. "They are a bit...overzealous arn't they?" He inquired after a moment's consideration, nodding towards that tea and yet, the Englishman could scarcely deny himself as he reached forward to pluck a pastry from the tray. It was with delicate care that he bit into that pastry before handing it to his lover to taste. At the very least it seemed these were actually cooked rather than manipulated in the way Dorian had spoken of their food once being. It seemed as if the palace was embracing it's freedom quite eagerly indeed.
