Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

He hadn't been ready for this. Not in the slightest. Not for that utter onslaught of emotion that threatened to overwhelm in in that firs play through of that half-finished song. Arlo was oblivious, largely, to those memories that danced through the other vampires mind like painted pictures as he played. Arlo so forced to suffer the onslaught of more than a years' worth of emotion so condensed into several minutes of musical expression. Those feelings changed from that almost nervous excitement to anticipation and desire. There was an affection and an attraction and a feeling of lust that seemed to flicker and dance within those notes, an added spark of sorts that never seemed to die before settling into something more passionate. Yeah, that's what it was, a sort of passion that moved like an undercurrent throughout that whole piece, one that afflicted Arlo with almost just as much force as it surely had Sebastian. The younger vampires emotions seemed to skyrocket and spike, those feelings tugged and pulled like strings at Sebastian's fingertips until he was almost left breathless. He was attracted to that man, outrageously so and yet it was more than that. It was deeper, far deeper it was like he could have died for him. Like the sun would never shine again without him, like his own life meant nothing compared to Sebastian's. He had never felt love before, at least, not real love. Not that sort of intense irrevocable and all-consuming love Sebastian seemed to feel for whathisname. It took Arlo entirely by surprise, the man left almost dumbfounded as Sebastian finally paused, those half-finished feelings seeming to cut of suddenly with a pain almost sharp, that simple utterance of awe all that Arlo was truly capable off in the wake of it. Love was....exhausting. The vampire finally admitting as such as he all but collapsed against that sofa.

His own blue gaze glanced upwards as Sebastian's head bobbed, commenting softly that he knew what love felt like to some extent. Arlo oblivious to the way in which his wording of those feelings seemed to have charmed the elder vampire in a sense. Then again, he always had done most of those vocals for the band. He was good at saying those things, even when he pretended otherwise and even when he was sure they sounded nothing but cheesy himself. Arlo's gaze lingered upon the other vampire then, perhaps a little longer than it should have, the after effects of that love still clinging to him. Arlo still finding himself drawn to Sebastian in the wake of it- even if sense was slowly beginning to return to him. Those emotions readily starting to sort themselves out and remind him he was not and never had been in love with Sebastian, at least not really and not by his own decision. He didn't even like dudes! Yeah- had to remind himself of that. God Sebastian owed him for this. Those musically induced effects however still seemed to linger, Arlo suddenly assured that whoever Sebastian was dating didn't deserve him. No one could deserve a man like this he was so- god he had to stop! How strong was this power anyway? Arlo shook his head lightly, attempting to turn that query into at least something of a less ridiculous question, his features clearly showing his surprise at Sebastian's assurance this lover of his wasn't even another vampire!

How did that work? How the hell did he find someone who didn't care about any of that vampire stuff? Someone willing to give up the sun? Maybe that was love. Real love. Right there. Someone who loved Sebastian so much those things just....didn't matter to him. Alright, maybe he'd judged a little too harshly. Whatever. Still- that their existed other species who wanted to be with them was...important to him, somehow. As if it gave him some sort of hope. Sebastian's own features furrowed slightly as the man seemed to consider that query more before speaking, Arlo's gaze resting on Sebastian still as his own head tilted slightly in his own moment of thought. It seemed so....stupid and yet he'd hardly considered the age factor. Any mortal woman he was ever with would ultimately....die one day when he wouldn't. They would get old while he wouldn't. That reality seeming to strike him now as his eyes widened. That picture Sebastian painted hardly one of overwhelming positivity. Arlo's words decidedly quite then.

"This guy you love, is he just going to get old and.....die then?"

It was a rather blunt way to put it and yet Arlo was a rather blunt being by nature. The man often speaking well before thinking and yet the idea that Sebastian loved someone this much only for them to grow old in front of him was- well- it was damn near heart wrenching! God these damn emotions! At least, maybe, Seb might be right in the fact he might not want their blood all the time. How on earth Sebastian wandered around every night with someone smelling like a meal and not acting on it he hardly knew. A lopsided grin touching his lips then. His full demeanour seeming to have returned in the absence of that power, his shoulders suddenly shrugging.

"You know bud, even despite you saying these vamp and non-vamp relationships don't work that often I reckon you've got some faith in yourself and this dude your with now- you wouldn't be doing this if you didn't. For what its worth- I hope it works out for you too."

He could almost be genuine, when he tried. Arlo flashing Seb another grin before brushing off that comment that the two of them weren't that different from one another. Ha! Maybe one day when he had shoes without holes in them and was buying thousand dollar keyboards on a whim they wouldn't be all that different. For now, at least, Arlo was hardly buying in to that. Regardless of how accurate his friend might have been. He moved to pass Sebastian that notebook then, several more additions made to it, the man hoping his companion might fail to see the scribblings of his name surrounded by those neatly doodled love hearts (he was quite good at drawing them really), that soft chuckle seeing Arlo scowl before he suggested one final play through. He could hardly help the way he so added in that mention of his hunger, just in case Sebastian had forgotten or even thought about weaselling out of that deal to give him his blood. Arlo still a decidedly young vampire. A part of him in the least constantly obsessing over his next meal even when he pretended otherwise. Sebastian's teasing words seeing his own eyes roll.

"Oh, shut up and play."

Humour so clearly tainted those lyrics, Arlo pausing only long enough to make Sebastian promise not to let anyone take their clothes off before folding one long leg over the other and making himself comfortable on that couch again. He could survive one more play through right? How bad could it be? Those first few notes of that song managed to stir a smile to his lips all over again, it was pleasant, nice, Arlo focused largely on that music still, his fingers playing along with that rhythm upon his own thigh for several bars before he began to falter. The emotions this time were somehow....stronger, more potent, a completed piece of music seeming to have more power. Arlo having failed to anticipate that at all. His emotions so suddenly seeming to spiral entirely out of his own control. It took barely a moment for the man to engage his own affinity, Arlo teleporting suddenly to that dining room table to seat himself right beside his friend then, his legs swinging almost boyishly as that all-too flirtatious 'hi' seemed to fall from his lips, his fingers trailing coyly along the other man's shoulder. Another grin found its way to his features the moment Sebastian's gaze turned to him, that returned greeting seeming to delight him. Sebastian's attention more important than anything in the world in that moment. God he was amazing. Did he know just how amazing? Maybe he should tell him? Yeah, tell him. Arlo doing just that. Sebastian shaking his head. God what sort of boyfriend did he have that didn't tell him how amazing he was every single night?! This just wouldn't do! Not at all. Arlo thoughts briefly distracted by Sebastian's voice. He could listen to that voice all day.

"Anything for you, babe."

It seemed so...natural. So right. Arlo waiting almost anxiously for the man to reach the end of that measure before reaching out to grasp the corner of that page between his thumb and forefinger, Arlo so deliberately flexing his bicep with that gesture before languidly leaning over the man to turn that page- just in case he hadn't gotten a chance to see those muscles and needed another look.

"I totally work out."

Well that was a downright lie and yet here and now he hardly cared. Sebastian's thoughts on him mattered somehow. He wanted Sebastian to like him back. He needed him too. Those emotions shifting with that song from that lust and want and flirtatiousness to something deeper, a want for more. Arlo shifted slightly closer then, one leg sliding beneath that table to run his foot almost seductively along Sebastian's leg, the man glancing away any time Sebastian turned towards him- as if he was hardly the one doing that. That song only continued then, that emotion shifting into a more genuine affection as Arlo's hand reached out, his fingers suddenly pushing some of that stray hair away from Sebastian's eyes if only to see them better. He had such lovely eyes. Arlo sighed then, resting his elbow on his knee, leaning his head in his hand to simply...stare at Sebastian then. As if every thought he ever had was about the man and he adored every one of them. His hand reached over again, flipping that page with just as much 'show' as he had the first time- his fingers gracing Sebastian's forearm as he did. That song shifted once more then, those uncertain feelings that seemed to hint at more suddenly assured of it. Affection and infatuation giving way to that sudden and genuine love. That all-consuming emotion. Sebastian suddenly and completely his world. His throat felt tight, his heart fluttering out of control at even the sight of him. He didn't want some meaningless one night stand with this man! He wanted to love him forever! He was everything. His happiness alone mattered. Those feelings so....intense. Arlo unaware of just how intensely he was staring at Sebastian again.

"Sebastian?"

How soft that word was, Sebastian still so focused on that playing. Arlo frowning slightly. He needed him to look at him, one hand reaching forward again to rest a finger upon Sebastian's chin and turn his face gently towards him. That song so nearly ended.

"Hi, hello, yes attention please- I'm saying something really important here, babe."

That was better.

"I've never said this to anyone before, not anyone, but I need to say it- I just need to get it out and I need you to look at me when I do ok? I......love you."

What was Sebastian's last name? How well would it go with Arlo? He'd have to find out.
