Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The stars in their orbits

Nadya's early pregnancy exhaustion had been replaced by a phase of restlessness past few days leading her leave the apartment more and more to wander the city. The fact that her and Isolt kept nearly completely different schedules meant seeing her was rare. She held no ill will to the vampire since her opinion of them was in a grey area thanks to her tryst with Sebastian. However, it was still rather unexpected coming home one evening to an invitation taped to her bedroom door. Well she already lived there so had no reason to not accept it. Maybe the vampire was finally coming out of her brooding and was wanting to learn to be social again. Whatever the reason there was free home-cooked food being offered.

The day of the dinner Nadya had once again made herself scarce shopping for new clothes that her growing belly could accommodate that weren't blatant maternity clothes. When Nadya finally returned with bags in hand the house smelled divine and made her stomach instantly growl in hunger. She was always hungry now. Nadya quickly went into her room and dropped the bags on her bed, rummaging through them until she found an outfit deemed appropriate for the night and dressed just as hurriedly. There hadn't been any timeframe on the invitation so who was she to think there would be much waiting before they could eat whatever was filling the apartment with those lovely aromas. Once dressed in the cream top with ruffles down the front that hid her belly with black jeans and ran a brush through the gentle waves of her hair she was out the door to the kitchen.

"Hey." Nadya paused in the doorway of the kitchen eyeing Isolt then the food on the stove and counters. "It smells great." She breached the threshold to come up beside Isolt, swiping her finger along one of the rims of the bowls and sticking the tip into her mouth to catch a taste. "Where did you learn how to cook like this?" There were several other questions bouncing around her head like if Isolt could even appreciate the smell anymore or eat the food but Nadya they seemed far less appropriate to ask. Nadya backed up a step to seat herself on a stool at the bar. "Are you sure you need all this? I may be pregnant but I don't think I can eat all that food." Though the growl in her stomach begged to differ. When Nadya had agreed to come to the dinner she had no idea that her brother and Tobias had been invited as well. Her idea of a little girl's night were surely to be squashed soon.
