Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you've taken me by surprise

he was both everything you could ever want
and nothing you could ever have

His crystalline blue eyes turned upwards from those ivory keys towards the handsome face of his husband. That soft sound of those Italian accented words prompted a soft simper upon the vampire's features, that gentle chuckle crossed his lips as his slender fingers so effortlessly found those beginning keys. That classical melody was one he knew by heart, having poured over it hours upon hours before within his youth. His fingers quite near moved by muscle memory alone, dancing with considerable ease down the length of that piano, those notes found by mere touch alone as he so coaxed that once quiet piano to life. It was an exquisite instrument, though, considering the glamour of that hotel suite, it certainly shouldn't be surprising. Admittedly, he hadn't quite anticipated even this level of luxury within their accommodations and yet, considering it was their honeymoon, it seemed no expense had been spared. That Steinway had quite near called to him the moment he had set eyes upon it and today, it seemed Sebastian could no longer deny the allure of that musical instrument. His lips pressed together ever so slightly, the vampire entirely content to simply hum along with that melody as his bright blue eyes turned back towards that tossed hair and bare chest of his King.

How he adored that simple sight of his lover! It had taken days to coax the Monarch to put down those various devices which kept him in touch with both his assistant and his country. That work was a never-ending pile of emails and attachments that needed to be looked at and yet, Sebastian had been quite near insistent in his intent to have his husband for himself. After all, it often the pair was afforded this near expectation to be lost in that world of marital bliss and the Englishman had every intention to enjoy it. Not the mention the hours afforded to him under the ever-present moon of the polar nights. Without the swaying demand of the sun, the vampire had little true need for sleep. Those days were far longer than any they had been given before and in turn, Sebastian had little qualms with filling every waking moment he could coax from his lover. Even so, those mornings were quite near blissful, with the quietness of that private suite and the soft tumbling sight of those delicate snowflakes outside those open curtains.

His own gaze turned from those frosted window panes and that near eternal darkness beyond at that shift within his periphery vision, his eyes quickly refocused back upon the Monarch beside him as the King's attention turned towards his fingers. That sweet melody slowly came to an end, those final notes were drawn out ever so softly until the vampire lifted his hands from those keys entirely, effectively ending that piece. He hardly anticipated that kiss the King pressed against his lips and yet, the vampire was altogether eager to return that almost tender display of affection. His nose ever so gingerly nuzzled against his lover's cheek as Dorian's lips pressed once again against his cheek, his own voice was little more than a soft murmur. "I thought you might." He admitted, his attention briefly turned back towards that piano, his fingers but momentarily plucking several soft chords from that instrument, at least, until Dorian's arms draped around his neck. He leaned easily into that embrace, one hand reached up to gingerly rest upon his lover's forearm. God how he loved mornings like this, and how much more did he love how free they were to so linger within those sweet embraces with not a single thing to hurry them.

That soft sound of Dorian's voice quickly drew Sebastian's attention, those blue eyes turned upwards and yet, with the King's chin resting against his head, the vampire hardly dared to move. "A half an hour?" He inquired, his eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly. He could tell by that tone of voice alone that there was something up Dorian's sleeve, even if he hardly knew exactly what it was. In fact, that very assurance that he was banned from asking why only furthered the Englishman's suspicion and yet, he had little reason to fret. After all, those teasing plans that had been such a part of that year of courting had held nothing but pleasant results. "I suppose I can wait for you in the cafe downstairs." The vampire conceded with an almost soft sigh. He was almost remiss to release the King from his grasp as Dorian moved towards that wardrobe on the far side of the room, pulling from its depths a singular white button-down shirt. His gaze remained entirely steady upon his lover as he watched his husband slide into that crisp cotton material, only to pull out a rather bright blue tie.

It was the sound of his name upon Dorian's lips that finally caused the vampire to move from his place upon that piano bench. His fingers gently reached out for that tie, only for his head to shake ever so slightly. "I think it's quite fine for church, Ma Bichette." He uttered softly, only for his fingers to turn to that button down upon his own chest that he'd never quite gotten around to fixing. "You won't need a tie for Barcelona though but it is the perfect amount of festive for today." The vampire was entirely steadfast in his efforts to reassure his husband, only to pluck a purple tie from his own section of that wardrobe. The color quite complimented Dorian's own, while altogether holding more color than the vampire usually wore. Sebastian hadn't been to church that that wedding service and yet, despite his devoutness, he already found himself looking forward to after, if only for that curiosity of what Dorian had so clearly planned for them that required the vampire out of the room for a whole half of an hour.
