Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told

Dorian's own gaze was drawn distinctly upward and toward that fan above him once more, the Monarch eyeing it with no small amount of derision, as if the very fan itself had so betrayed him in revealing the secrets of its concealed chocolate to his husband before before he intended it too. How sneaky he had thought he had been! Still, he supposed, if there was but any being whom was perhaps curious enough in their own habits to readily spy out of place chocolate treats upon fan blades it was most assuredly his own husband. Dorian unable to prevent that good natured roll of his eyes and too that ready chuckle that came with Sebastian's singular assurance he only paid attention to such things when Dorian himself was beneath them. Next time, the Fae was sure, he would conceal such treats all the better. Did he not have a veritable lifetime to perfect the manner in which they played such games? Dorian he assured he already had several ideas for next year that might further increase that challenge. As it was, for now, he merely afforded his lover that wave off his hand to send the man on his way. Sebastian the very epitome of excited in those moments as he near raced about the room to collect those far simpler eggs and add them to the easter basket resting on the bed.

It was surely foolish, perhaps, the sheer amount of delight Dorian so took from seeing Sebastian happy in every sense. His husbands grin so having a way, even now, of brietening his own. Perhaps such games as this were near childish and yet in a world where so much was expected from them so often and those facades of seriousness were required for hours on end there was a distinct relief in these moments of respite from the world. In moments where they might be even just a little silly or childish or playful in a way the world deemed they could not be in the public eye. When everything they did was photographed and everything they said was recorded it was a difficult thing to simply enjoy a moment they might be resented with lest they say or do the wrong thing. When that crown rested atop his head there was the expectation of a country upon his shoulders, a burden that Sebastian too had taken up himself with their marriage and his new status of Prince itself. Surely, in all that, they were allowed to have these very moments where they might simply just be....them.

That coffee was lifted once more to his lips as Sebastian hurried about. That first sweep proving to be decidedly fruitful and yet the vampire had now readily excavated those easy treats. The rest of those chocolates far more concealed and s requiring of the vampire to engage those rarely mentioned senses Dorian knew the man was perfectly capable of calling upon, even if he himself was unaware as to the extent of their use. That distinct wrinkling off his lovers features as the vampire so attempted to sniff out that chocolate only further brightened that grin upon his features, the Monarch struggling not to laugh at that near curious expression before he was suddenly informed of the manner in which his own scent was impeding that search! Dorian quite content to inform his lover he was decidedly pleased that it had, if only for the fashion in which it might slow him down. Indeed, the Fae King was hardly above slowing his husbands efforts further if need be. That very threat to begin removing those layers of clothing entirely enough to prompt Sebastian to pivot mid step to face him once more. As if he might gauge the very seriousness of such a threat! Dorian wholly content to meet that striking blue of the man's gaze as one finger lifted to flick but another off his shirt buttons open, his legs unfolded from beneath him to stretch out upon that bed in the picture of relaxation that seemed to prompt that very war of uncertainty within his lover. How he so adored that look!

Yet, today, he so hardly intended to truly derail the vampires search for that chocolate. Dorian reaching for that coffee cup once more, the gesture alone readily seeing Sebastian return to that search as Dorian chuckled once more. The Fae content to merely watch. At least until those packages so managed to catch his eye once more. That query of just what they were entirely lost upon the vampire he was sure. Sebastian finally seeing fit to answer that query once he had reached the kitchen. The declaration they were birthday presents only further piquing the Monarch's interest. Dorian a decidedly curious being in every sense and one whom had proven to be near utterly hopeless when those surprises were reversed upon him. He simply could not stand not knowing! Those further queries afforded a decidedly lacking response from the clearly preoccupied vampire as Sebastian proceeded to upend several of those jars in the kitchen after proceeding to rifle through the fridge until it too managed a state of disarray.

Any further clues upon those glorious packages, it seemed, were destined to wait until Sebastian's chocolate quest had reached its completion. The englishman returning a moment later with those new eggs before querying how many he had left. Dorian assured there was still five in the very least. That bookcase, it seemed, had become the next target in the vampires hunt. Dorian quite content to marvel at just how accurate his lovers sense of smell truly was- even if those layered pages, it seemed, were proving something of a challenge for the man. Sebastian hunting beside and above those books for several moments before at last reaching to take that book out entirely- only to be presented with that baffling blank space. That look of utter confusion on his features readily prompting that laughter from Dorian himself before the first of those eggs rolled from the pages to fall to the floor. Sebastian appearing only further baffled before the idea seemed to strike him. Book after book removed from that shelf to be unceremoniously shaken until four of those eggs had been found and a large portion of that library was on the floor. Goodness but the mess Sebastian had made of their apartment!

Still, that very excavation of the bookshelf so assured there was but one egg left. One Dorian was assured the vampire might never find even despite it being the best of those treats so far. The Monarch quite unable to prevent that near smug look as he informed his husband of the very difficulty of that final treat- and his willingness to trade for it. This, it seemed, had managed to capture his lovers interest enough to draw him to the edge of their bed. That question on just what this deal pertained readily seeing the Monarch nod towards those gifts he was entirely sure he had been very patient in waiting for when they had so temptingly been placed in the room!

"A hint for a hint seems quite fair does it not?"

That soft sound of his lovers contemplation of that very idea was near torturous! How he teased him! His head nodded readily then in assurance he required only a hint, a part of the Fae assured he could pry more from the vampire if he tried and yet, for now, he merely sought but any sliver of information he might glean from the man. Sebastian promptly agreeing to that deal a moment later. Dorian unable to prevent that grin that found his features. At least until he was provided with that very hint. That clear curiosity present now as he glanced from the vampire to that larger box and back again. An idea he had given him? Their favourite activities? What on earth could it be? This, Dorian realised, was far more tortuous than his initial not knowing at all!

"Oh, what is it? You simply must tell me! You know I can't stand not knowing these things!"

His gaze continued to linger upon that larger box, his head tilted slightly as if viewing that package from another angle might provide some sort of answer he had been unable to see before. What idea had he given his lover that might prompt such a gift? More so, which of their favourite things had he combined? Dorian had several favourite things he was sure. Certain ones perhaps more favoured than others. His thoughts upon those very things were halted a moment later by Sebastian's sudden insistence that final chocolate could be traded for one off his gifts. Dorian eyeing the vampire whom sat upon the end of their bed almost warily now. It was not the deal he had been intending and yet he could scarcely refuse it! That curiosity far to great! And Sebastian surely knew it.

"I quite think this is cheating. You know I positively cannot abide not knowing what is in gifts. Especially when they are for me and you offer me such obscure hints. Oh, very well! I shall tell you where the final egg is. I am surprised you did not find it, Mon Cher. It is right in front of you, after all."

That grin found his lips once more then, Dorian pausing to reach behind himself and produce that large chocolate easter rabbit, holding it out to his lover then before leaning forward to steal that singular kiss as he so at last let the vampire have that final easter treat. The chocolate bunny far larger than the others and combination of at least three types of chocolate, milk, dark and white. An extra surprise from whenever the vampire might choose to open it.

"Happy Easter."

He offered warmly, leaving the vampire to examine that chocolate as he settled on his knees beside the man. Dorian quite assured his lover had enjoyed that easter surprise even if they would need spend the next half hour or so tidying that room again.

"Baaaaastian."

His patience, for those gifts, it seems- was utterly hopeless.
